Ming blocks Shaq at least once., maybe twice.
Remember when J-Will faced off against Payton the first time. I don't recall the numbers, BUT I do recall (and everyone else who saw the game) the play when Williams shook Payton into a statue for a layup (at least I think it was a layup).
Overall, Shaq is going to kick his ass though.

This match up is hyped because of the voting poll in the all star game. Ming got a million + votes or some shit. Shaq will get Ming in early foul trouble, then Ming will sit his ass on the bench most of the game.
But like Czar said, he's a fuckin rookie. Give him 2 - 4 years, and he'll definately be a "decent" center.

This game is BIG, try again CZAR. If you are comparing Yao to Bradley, you need to go watch more basketball, there on completely different levels. Next, dripping 25/10 on SHAQ isnt far fetched at all, especially for a center of Yao's capabilities. The funny thing is all you haters talked a gang of shit on SHAQ all year, now hes meeting his match, and you guys are saying he should dominate no problem, only to make room for shittalking if he doesnt. Yao aint had to deal with someone as big and dominating as shaq before, so getting 25 & 10 would be a MAJOR accomplishment. Plus, look at what happened in the Suns game last night. a HIGH SCHOOL Rookie schooled Yao. Yao's had a nice season and all,and hes going to be a dominating player in time, but hes a little overratted at the moment.........That being said, I still would like to see him drop 25 & 10 on Shaq.
But you see, Yao can drop 25 without going to the hole. He can shoot it from 15-20ft away. He should not put up 25/10 against him, but im saying it has been done against SHAQ, and will again.

You stole a lil of my thunder there Nitro, but that's the same point I was going to make. And I agree about the 25, 15-17 sounds a bit more down to earth. As far as Stoudamire smashing on Yao, Armare is a much younger, athletic athlete than Shaq so I wouldn't compare the two match-ups at all. That was different. This is now.
Shaq isn't going to come out to guard him for two reasons. 1) He's not in that good a shape and 2) He's not going to risk the younger more agile body of Ming getting around him for a dunk. Cuz just like the J-Will on Payton play a few years ago(I mentioned above), no matter what the box score says, that dunk will be the play people will be talking about and remembering.
