anyone see that interview with shaq during half-time of the wizards game....

he said that iverson is one of the top 5 players to ever play in the NBA...and is the only player in the league that takes as much of a pounding as he does....

pretty nice compliment coming from the big man

Real Talk!! A.I. will be one of the greatest to evr play the game!! he is one of the most talented already, and he is 6 feet tall if that!! Shag knows the real deal, and Shag knows who is better than Ko-Me!! He knoes Iverson is the best guard in the league!! I gotta agree with Shaq, AI is barely 6 ft. tall and can take over a game by himself and he can do it at will, today he had many open shots but they werent going in for him but otherwise he still had a big game, AI should be on the USA team no doubt, it would be a disgrace if not:angry:

Shaq is a fuckin moron......I dont pay no mind to anything he says...its funny as hell when he tries to drop some knowledge about something, he is usually totally off base with whatever comment he makes

I was dying when he explained why he was the big aristotle....his whole fuckin reasoning was wrong....Shaq needs not to ever open his mouth cuz he is always saying something stupid

What does this topic have to do with Kobe? If you insist..

"Iverson is one of the top 5 players ever" -Shaq
"Kobe is the best player in the NBA" -Shaq

You can't choose one or the other when picking Shaq's quotes, either his word is credatible, or it isnt. Simple as that.


In my opinion, A.I. is hardley in the top 5 ever as of right now. If you think he is, you probably just an Iverson fan (coincidentally most of those agreeing with himin this topic are fans). To say he is in the top 5 in the NBA right now would be more sufficient. To throw him ahead of guys like Magic, Kareem, Wilt, Russel etc. is just plain stupid, he would have to complete a career to even be considered for a top 5 spot.

First off, how do u know Shag put A.I. over guys like Magic & Wilt etc..!! he said top 5 not top 1! I know u wished he said Ko-Me was a top 5 greatest, but it will never happen!! U lose again folks!! I disagree with Shaq on that one. Iverson aint one of the top 5 ever. Its alotta people who did the same things that Iverson did, even more, and are not on the 50 greatest players list. But then again...Shaq didnt mean that shyt, he was just being nice.

Yea maybe alot of people did do some of the things A.I. has done, but not at 6 feet tall!! he is not a point guard!! he is a 6 feet 2 guard!! Never happened before sopmeone of his dominance at that position!! And how do u know what Shag meant?? Do u know him personally?? He sounded sincere to me!! GOT EM!!!

Why would I be hurt that Shaq gave him his dues? He fully deserves his props and I have given them to him a good number of times. That means the list goes on, in this case far beyond 5 players. I dont know who specifically he put Iverson over, but as long as he has him in the top 5 my statement holds true. So because he did these things at 3-4 inches smaller then the average guard, he should go down as one of the best 5 to ever play the game? Your joking right... thats how you justify all of this? That might buy himself into the best 5 in the NBA as of right now, thats about it. "(He sounded sincere to me)" So are you saying his word is creditable or not. Or is his word only worth anything when its in favor of someone you like...

Actually nitro the average 2 guard is 6/6, so that would be 6 inches or so shorter not 3-4 inches like u try to downplay it as!! A.I. is the man!! And Bam u already said u didnt like Iverson from the start, so who cares what u say about him!! Atleast he has a MVP, and McGrady or Ko-Me dont!! Haha!! GOT EM!!!

I thought you were saying he is a guard at 6'2. I previously knew he was 6'0 but it slipped my mind after I read that, I wasn't trying to downplay anything. Yes the average guard is 6'6 and A.I. is 6 inches smaller, that is a big deal.

Nothing wrong with bringing up Kobe when its relevant. I have just been on Czar's case lately because he has been constantly doing what he acuses me of doing that constitues "being on his nuts". I dont think either player is a ballhog, they are shooting guards, people dont understand that apparently. T-Mac, Iverson and Kobe all have a job, to score, thats what determines wins and losses, people need to realize that. Sometimes I get on Iverson's case for doing it only because whoever it is im talking to is full of shit, no point in being real with him.
