I am looking to have a home set -up, i record elsewhere, but i am looking for something simple and easy to use. All i want to be able to do is drop vocals.
could somebody holla at me bout what i need?

Microphone + Pre Amp + Audio Interface + Cables + Software/DAW (Cubase)

If your just looking to drop vocals and then export them to disc and take them into the Studio then that's all you need.

But the real question is what is your budget?

What he sai, go with digi performer though, fuck pro tools.......a good pre-amp is key too homie for recording good vocals.........

Make sure you have your Compressor set right too. compression can make it sound perfect or the opposite so get something you know how to use or go to tweakheads.com to read up on it. If you want a good cheap preamp, get an ART Tube PAC I have one and it works great after I learned how to use it with the help of some guys on this forum and doing some research of my own.
