Serious Question, Need Yall Help and Opinions (Regarding My Comp.)

Ok by now most of you know that I have put together a hell of a project, with some of the top artists in this industry making appearances, if you don't know, the album includes appearances among others by Kurupt, Tha Eastsidaz, Bad Azz, Crooked I, Tech N9ne, B-Legit, Richie Rich, Al Kapone, JT The Bigga Figga, Sean T, Mac Dre, Cool Nutz, Little Bruce, and Many Many More.

Anyways the dilema I am now in is, my project has hit a few snags here and there and is taking a long time to be completely finished and be released, and in this time I am coming up on a lot more material, good material, I already had way too much material, but I am coming up on even more that I want to use really bad. Now I of course plan to do a Vol. 2, but my question is, with the likeliness now that my album will not come out until January or February at least, and with me having access now to tracks from the likes of Too $hort, Yukmouth, Mr. Kee, and others, should I make this a Double Album and use the material that I am coming up on right now and some of the material that I already had to knock off the album, or should I hold on to the new material I'm getting now and use it for Vol. 2 and put it out right after Vol. 1??

See the problem is, I'm going to want to work and sell Vol. 1 for at least a few months after it comes out, now the material on Vol. 1 I have had for a while already, I don't want the same thing to happen with the material for Vol. 2, I don't want it to sit because Vol. 1 has been delayed so much and plus cuz I don't wanna put Vol. 2 out right after 1 anyway, so should I just combine what I have so far and make a tight ass HUGE Double Album???

yeah, see the thing is, i fully understand the argument on both sides, see I don't wanna sit on the material so I'm thinkin about making it a double, but I also understand that people are afraid of double albums because they are not usually full of good material and making them worth the purchase price, so that's why i'm trying to get people's opinions, i don't want me changing this project to make it bigger to scare people off from buying it, so keep the feedback and opinions and votes coming, they are much appreciated and really do help factor in to my decision.

My first instinct is to say "no" to making it a double album, unless you can do it cheap enough to sell at a price competitive to all the single disc compilations out there. People are just so wary of compilations nowadays with all the trash in the market. If possible, cut any songs that are not certified bangers and make it into one tight disc. I seriously doubt that you have two albums full of material that cannot wait until volume 2. Like Big J said, if Vol. 1 is tight, people will not hesitate to pick up the second one. Good luck.

If you're doing it for the fans, go get even more tracks and put ONLY THE GOOD ones on the comp . . .

The biggest thing I would debate is "Are the new tracks Im getting better than what I already got?" If so put them on the first comp. Any company wants to be known for that banging project that you could listen through again and again.....I would put a solid 17-18 tracks of the old and new stuff together, let as many people that have objective opinions listen. This way you can get the best material and people will get your volume 2 because they know you put out quality shit...

you wanna put a good ablum but don't put your best songs on there because it's gonna be hard to out do yourself on the next one.put the one you have out now and just make the other one part 2.
