Sorry if ya'll think this doesn't belong but I need ideas for my senior project and figured someone in here has a good idea since I suck at this. I need to present research proving a point for like 8-10 mins long on ANY subject I want. I don't know where to start and if someone could drop some ideas that would be easy to research I'd appreciate it.

Shit man, it can be ANY subject you want? If so, if you’re looking for the easiest way out, just pick something that you already have knowledge about. I remember in High School I had to a similar project and I already had a lot of knowledge on Gun Control so that was my topic. Most of the paper I wrote came from my head.
If you don’t care if it’s “easy” or not, pick something that you feel strongly about. Writing about topics that you actually care about make the project much more interesting and doing the research is actually fun, for me it was anyways. One of the first English classes I had in college, the students were allowed to pick their own topics. My topics included Violence: Human nature, Abortion, Euthanasia, Atheism and Communism. One of the best classes I ever had.

I'm not exactly looking for an easy way out because I'd like to explore something new that's interesting but I am looking for something that I don't have to search hard for. One thing my project shouldn't be is a "report" (like if I pick heart disease and just tell how it happens or how communism works). It needs to be a little more specific. I need to prove some sort of point like (ex.) "why some forest fires are good". It's a semester long project that we work on all the rest of the year and have to pass to graduate. My thesis isn't due for like 2 weeks but I really suck at coming up with topics and don't want to work on researching bullshit like I always do.

All of the topics I mentioned I had to "prove a point". Meaning, they were not just reports...For example, I had to provide research and points on why assisted suicide should be legal (Euthanasia). Like I said before, the key is to pick something that you are interested in. I'm sure there are plenty of topics that intrest you.

ahhh I love research papers. The research papers I wrote in school were by far the most rewarding experience in college thus far. Not only that but they basically write themselves.

For my English class in college the topic I chose for my thesis was Muhammad Ali. I also did a research paper on the Apache Native Americans.

See you don't have to start with your thesis, that is a mis conception. Pick a topic then do the research then the thesis should jump out at you. I could of done a lot of thesis sentences for Muhammad Ali, ultimatley I had to settle with one. Your research will sort itself out, depending how much time you put into your research. That is why you have to go with something that you find intresting. Then when you do your research it will filter out the nonsense and you will find directions which you want to take your paper.

Another piece of advice I would give you is stay far from the internet and mostly in the library. If you go on the internet make sure that it's not some bull shit site where some kid just posted up some crap. Plus the library has a lot more information then the internet. In my opinion.

I know 2-0 Sixx did well on his papers as well did I, so were giving you in my opinon some of the best advice you can get as far as research papers go. I wish you luck.

Yah, I would just like some topics thrown at me because im not interested in much (that I can think of) until its named. Thanks for both of your inputs. I'm trying to stay away from the common ones like drugs, music, diseases etc. What frustrates me is that when I write I can't explain what I'm trying to get across so I always struggle in LA classes but I excel in math and am pretty good in science because they are more straight forward to me and I'm very logical.

Your senior project sounds easy as fuck....Mine was a year long (senior year duh)...I made a lowrider video with some tight beats in the background....
