Or is it?

Here are the Saragin ratings for toughest schedules in the nation this year:

http://www.usatoday.com/sports/sagarin/fbc10.htm

Yes, you see that correctly: The top 10 toughest schedules includes every single Pac-10 team. Arky holds the toughest for the SEC (11th)...with their lowest being Kentucky (63rd).

Sure, Auburn beat Oregon...but im talking about as a WHOLE conference.

5 straight BCS titles... SEC hard to top, still PAC 10 all day everyday
While i would tend to agree, that is the misconception that the SEC presents. Look at the body of work year in and year out in the SEC, the ratings (or overrating), and the competition they face (OOC). Not too hard to get to the NCG when a) you play 2 FCS teams b) play only 8 IC games c) move up the rankings becuase everyone in the conference gets pre-ranked in the top 25.

They have been the best at exploiting the BCS system. Kudos to them.

As much as a lot of us have the Pac 10 bias, SEC to me has the toughest all around good teams which is why everyones on the SEC's nuts so badly. Auburn pretty much shut down the best offense in the country.

...and it still took a last second FG to beat them.

BTW, Thomas had over 300 yards passing. So, not exactly "shutting down".
