i know there are numerous pressings of this cd .. my question is whether the priority records version is the original or is that the second pressing? what's the story behind priority getting in on this??

according to discogs, the first pressing was black market only, but they're both 1995 so it's hard to tell which came first .. would appreciate if anyone with knowledge on this classic could speak on it.

i'm looking at the press that discogs has listed as the first press (the black market only press) and there's a link to myspace in the booklet lol .. so i'm assuming the priority release is the og??

discogs got the black market only version listed as a 95 release tho .. impossible with a myspace link in the booklet.

Yes the Priority is the original press.

In one of the Cedric Singelton interviews he tells the story of how they hooked up with Priority Records, he said that at first another company was gonna press the copies but refused to make copies after listening to the album.

But i believe there WAS a pressing before priority from the company that decided not to press it.
