Anyone ever rented out a room from random strangers from craigslist? I think that's the route I'm going to have to take since my friends are either broke, live with their gf's, or parents.

And the place I'm living at now is temporary for 4 months, but it's looking like I will have to move out sooner than expected 'cause there ain't no mother fuckin parking available anywhere!!!!! I get off at 11pm every night and I can't park my fuckin car no where! Fuckin pisses me off!

But anyways back to the topic. Who has rented out a room from random strangers in a shared house or apt?

I'm sort of paranoid 'cause these people could be psychos!

i'm rentin a room from some folks i don't know. my friend use to rent a room from them so i kinda knew what it'd be like. and they're around my age and they're hella cool and shit. but i think it more of a hit or miss cuz my friend has rented rooms from several ppl and has been in sum awkward situations. just do a lil research before u actually make a decision and i'm sure you'll be fine.

im doing it right now. The house isn't all that but the roommates are cool. Plus my rent and utilities are real cheap so it makes it better.

I have lost some good friends after we became roommates. Its almost better to move in with people you don't know.

when i get my own spot.. i dont even wanna have room mates, people's habits would start to piss me off. I'd rather live alone and have people come over all the time or crash once in a while. I've had a few friends ask me if i wanted to be their room mate, i said fuck that.

i had to do that once and it didn't work out. the people i moved in with had poker games every weekend (Friday-Sunday)and like 10 of their friends would come over and they'd be up all night drinking and being hella loud. I'd go to work the next morning and them motherfuckers would still be drinking and playing poker. I was able to sleep through it but when my beezy would stay over she couldn't sleep at all cuz they were dumb ass loud. i only lived there for like 2 months and have lived alone ever since after that.

I live in Marin right now. I don't mind living in SF or East Bay. I just can't live with dirty and loud mother fuckers. I'd prefer someone who keeps to themselves and parties over the weekends since I only work M-F.

I could afford my own place but I'd rather not take that route because I plan on buying a house with my brother within 3 years.

I'm in a huge fuckin dilemma.

me and my boy rent 2 rooms from 2 older brothers in a 4 bedroom house in SJ. We pay 450 each(includes everything) but most of the time were only either in the kitchen or in our rooms, the living room is pretty much the brothers room. We found the rooms off craigslist and everything is good. We dont hang out with them or anything but we respect each others space and privacy and we all get along.
