I got this off of another football message board....and I might add, there was a comment by a Niner fan below this story that simply said, "LOL".
Seahawks Fan Beaten By 49ers Fan After Game
PUYALLUP - You talk about adding injury to insult.
Keith Gustin of Puyallup has a fractured bone above his lip, and his teeth are bashed in following a brutal attack after Sunday's game in San Francisco.
Keith is recovering in his basement-turned-Seahawk shrine tonight, following a rough weekend. He travelled to the City by the Bay to cheer on his beloved Hawks, but he says he noticed an ugly tone developing, even during the pre-game tailgate.
"It started to get (like), 'You're in the wrong area, you're gonna get beat," Keith says
After watching his Seahawks get beaten at Candlestick Park, he says he received a beating of his own. He was having a cigarette outside a Denny's near Fisherman's Wharf, when he says he was sucker punched by a Niner fan he encountered at a pub earlier that night.
"Two guys came out and said, 'Hey'! I turned around to shake their hand. Next thing I knew, I'm laying on my back in the bushes."
He says he did nothing to provoke the attack. Just wearing the Seahawks colors was enough to set the man off, Gustin says. San Francisco police say there have been no arrests made so far. Keith now requires plastic surgery for his broken face and teeth.
As Seahawk Superfans, Keith and his wife, Jen, have made several trips to the Bay Area to cheer the team on. They've experienced some unruly fans, but they say nothing like this.
"Not this bad. We've had things thrown at us before, but not like this," Jen says.
She says she and her husband may go back to San Francisco to visit, but they will never attend another football game there.
The Gustins are still seeking justice. Once this guy is caught, they plan to press charges, and are looking for a lawyer.
