Any guy who's tried to pick up chics at San Jose's Mission Ale House knows why it's called the Mission "Male" House.
And now this shocker from the Census Bureau --brace yourself: men really do outnumber women in San Jose.
The U.S. Department of the Obvious finds that there are 117 men for every 100 women in the age range of 20 to 44 years old.
It's even worse from the chromosome-Y who live in Sunnyvale, Milpitas, Santa Clara and Mountain View.
Mountain View has a ratio of 125 to 100.
This shouldn't come as huge surprise considering tech and engineering jobs in Silicon Valley are mostly held by men.
And while at first glance the stats look like a good thing for women, there is a downside for the ladies. Some say it can be overwhelming, even intimidating to venture into the bars with so much testosterone wafting through the air.
But at least they have their pick of the litter.
Dudes, you might want to drag yourself over to the wealthier parts of the South Bay, like Los Gatos, Cupertino, Saratoga and Los Altos.
For example, in Los Altos, men actually have an advantage of 85 men for every 100 women.
Bob Redell is so grateful he's already got a girl.
