SAN FRANCISCO -- The owner of the San Francisco Armory is considering turning part of the historic building into "kinky condos."
The fetish Web site kink.com purchased the armory earlier this year and turned it into a studio for its adult films. The company's CEO recently approached city planners about converting part of the building into condos with Webcams.
Voyeurs could log on and watch -- for a fee, NBC affiliate KNTV reported.
Neighbors in the Mission District had mixed reaction to the news.
"I don't see any detraction," said one neighbor. "The place looks great and it's better than the bums sleeping on the bench back there."
"I don't think it's right. I don't think it's good for our community. We have to take care of our community especially because we are in the mission," said another neighbor.
Kink.com's CEO, Peter Acworth, told KNTV that the plan to convert the building is just a proposal at this point and the condos are just one of many ideas he's considering.
