I spoke with Sam Goody today and they informed me that the corporate office sent out instructions for ALL stores to close their consignments until after Christmas. In the past.....this was done at the managers discretion. This time it's an order from headquarters!

And if i may be an prick for a second :classic: , these days, labels wont even take a CHANCE with releasing an album and not having it in stores.....whatever happened to "out the trunk" and selling CDs at SHOWS? I.E. EARNING sales??

I dunno if I would say the moms and pops shops are where REAL fans go to get cds.....If Sam Goody has SLR shit, i'd go there over somewhere else that's farther away from me....Or I can get them from D-Sane....but that's a pretty blunt statement....Basically you're sayin that everyone that don't buy the albums from a mom and pop shop isn't a REAL fan....I don't think that's what you meant.....but that's what it looks like you're saying.

You're right, it does look like I said that. I'm sorry, I didn't mean that, but I'm also wonderin why you'd pay $16.99 for an album at Sam Goody when you could haggle for it at $10.00 or less at a Mom's and Pop?

We're closin our shit out Friday.. probably wont get paid until June 2003 haha... the way they move with the paperwork.
