Sam Bradford Wins The Heisman Trophy

NEW YORK -- Sam Bradford's biggest score: The Heisman Trophy.

Oklahoma's amazingly accurate and quick-thinking quarterback won the Heisman on Saturday night after guiding the highest-scoring team in major college football history to the national championship game.

A year after Tim Tebow became the first sophomore to win the Heisman, Bradford became the second and kept the Florida quarterback from joining Archie Griffin as the only two-time winner.

Bradford, who leads the nation in touchdown passes with 48, received 1,726 points. Texas quarterback Colt McCoy was second with 1,604 and Tebow -- who received the most first-place votes -- was third with 1,575 points.

The only other time the margin between first and third was smaller was 2001, when Nebraska's Eric Crouch beat out Florida's Rex Grossman and Miami's Ken Dorsey.

Bradford led the Sooners to a berth in the BCS championship game on Jan. 8.

The sophomore from Oklahoma City has thrown for 4,463 yards, 48 touchdowns and six interceptions this season. He also added five rushing touchdowns

yea his stats are great and i like the way he carries himself. besides bradford's boring ass 300 hr speech made it clear that he aint shit without his team. its ok to be modest but his answers seemed a lil wierd. McCoy's got talent, and if i was asked who i thought would be more successful in the nfl right now out of those three, id say McCoy. just my opinion tho, to each their own.

This is all subjective. The same analysts said that Lofa Tatupa was too small and wouldnt go until the 6th round. 3 probowls later....

So ONE preformance is equal to a whole season? VY was a great COLLEGE QB, like so many are. McCoy is an ACTUAL QB that can not only read defenses, but can and DOES check off recievers. Like i said, VY NEVER had effeicenty numbers like McCoy did.

No, its NOT. The fact that Bradford has BETTER players around him, makes it EASIER for him to be the player he is. When you have more reliable WR's and a RUNNING game, it allows him to be a BETTER passer, and opens up play action.

I appreciate that you can debate without turning to insults like so many people on here do. I am only trying to get you to see this from a subjective view. Bradford is a GREAT QB, but his team is loaded. McCoy did almost the same with LESS. That is ALL I am saying.

As far as the NCG, Both these teams can score, but Oklahoma's defense has struggled all year. No one has cared, becuase they are putting up 60+ a game and the others just cant catch them. Florida is going to give them FITS.

As long as the game is a good one, im OK with it. If it is a blowout, i will be pissed.

it's clear that mccoy put up good numbers with less talent. jordan shipley and quan cosby, etc. are nowhere as good as juaquin iglesias, jermaine gresham, manny johnson, demarco murray, etc.

note that i didn't mention any running back from texas, because like i fucked your mom mentioned already, texas doesn't have a running game.

plus oklahoma's offensive line is massive. they do a good job in run blocking and pass blocking, and it makes sam bradford's job much easier.
