Sorry fellas but yall are wrong...sake can be served both warmed and chilled, and it is widely accepted that the premium sakes are indeed served chilled...peep...
Sho Chiku Bai Chokara

Extremely dry sake. Goes well with a wide variety of foods.

Type: Junmai-shu / Extra Dry

Very dry, clean and crisp flavor

Dry/Sweet: +7 (very dry)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sho Chiku Bai Ginjo

Ginjo is a special reserve connoisseur class of sake. Most sakes are brewed with rice that has been milled 30%. For our Ginjo we use rice that is polished over 50%. Additionally, we use a special strain of yeast that allows for fermentation at a cooler temperature. The result of the slower, longer process is a silky-smooth, rich and fruity flavor.

Type: Junmai Ginjo / Premium

Character:
Delicate, dry and silky smooth

Dry/Sweet: +5 (dry)

Texture: Soft and smooth

Aroma: Strong ginjo aroma

Suggestions:

Serving: Chilled

Pairing food: Perfect by itself or with lightly seasoned foods

Alcohol: 15%

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Takara Sierra Cold

Takara Sierra Cold is an innovation in sake brewing. It is fermented with a specially developed yeast that allows for the rich flavor of a premium type of sake. We have made this product with an alcohol content of 12% for those who prefer a milder taste.

Type: Junmai Ginjo / Premium

Character:

Light and clean

Dry/Sweet: +5 (dry)

Texture: Soft and smooth

Aroma: Pleasant ginjo aroma

Suggestions

Serving: Chilled

Pairing food: Perfect by itself or with lightly seasoned foods

Alcohol: 12%

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sho Chiku Bai Nama

NAMA SAKE is a draft-style sake that is purified not by heat pasteurization but rather through micro-filterization. Since high temperatures can often change the subtle flavors of sake, this micro-filterization process better retains all of the original flavors of sake. "Nama " means fresh, indicating that it is bottled immediately after production rather than being aged for a few months like our other sakes.

Type: Junmai Nama/ Draft

Character:

Fruity, fresh and dry.

Dry/Sweet +5 (dry)

Texture Soft and smooth

Aroma Pleasant

Suggestions

Serving: Chilled

Pairing food: Cold or vinegar-marinated

Alcohol: 15%

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sho Chiku Bai Organic Nama

It's totally natural, using OCIA certified rice harvested from the Sacramento Valley with absolutely no preservatives, no brewers alcohol added, no sulfites. It is brewed under the direction of Takara's master brewer combining the most traditional methods with modern technology to arrive at the Ginjo grade.

Type: Junmai Nama/ Draft(Organic)

Character:

Full, dry and balanced flavor with fruity and fresh taste

Dry/Sweet: +5 (dry)

Texture: Soft and smooth

Aroma: Pleasant ginjo aroma

Suggestions:

Serving: Chilled

Pairing food: Cold or vinegar-marinated

Alcohol: 15%

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sho Chiku Bai Nigori

NIGORI is the way sake first appeared when it was brewed for the Imperial Court in Kyoto as well as for most of its 2,000 year history. It is coarsely-filtered and the sweetest of all our types of sake. It is especially delicious with very spicy foods. The bottle should be shaken each time before pouring due to the high rice content that settles in the bottom of the bottle.

Type: Junmai Nigori/ Unfiltered

Character:

Bold and sweet. Rich and robust flavor with distinctive rice savor.

Dry/Sweet: -20 (very sweet)

Texture: Soft

Aroma: Mild

Suggestions:

Serving: Chilled
Pairing food: Rich and well seasoned dishes. Great as a dessert.

Alcohol: 15%

Sho Chiku Bai...i remember seeing that one...gotta start somehwere
When I go for sushi that is the kind I drink...it's subtle and flavorful at the same time...I used to think that sake always had to be heated, but when I had this for the first time I was converted instantly.

Those are good with warm sake, cause you get the cold beer, and then at the end it's chased with the warm sake...that's the type of drink where you'll do it 10 times without trippin, then when you stand up you realize you're fucked up...LOL at the loser has to dance...that's tight.
