he ain't gonna be executed for some time, hes still on trial for hella different crimes against humanity. He'll do at least a couple more years in whatever super secret prison hes in before they hang him

They are trying to execute him by the end of the year(1) and the Shias are calling for his execution to be broadcast live (2).

Of course the entire trial was a show concocted for political purposes. While war crimes were being committed just outside the courthouse, a hand-picked court condemned the former Iraqi dictator to die. The very timing of the sentence was a clear attempt to lift the electoral fortunes of the Republican Party for the elections.

Dont get me wrong, I do believe Saddam should be tried for crimes they committed against the Iraqi people, but surely the US has no right to oversee the trial while they themselves are committing war crimes in Iraq and are resposible for the lost lives of hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqi people, not too mention torture, rape and destruction of entire cities as well.

If Saddam is to be hung, Bush and the rest of his cronies should be hung with him, and that goes for every single democrat that voted for the war as well.

Sorry just had to stir up the pot, if you were to hang all the people involved with Iraq that actually deserve it, we would be hanging 10 people a day for 10 years. Don't get me wrong though.

If you were to hang all the people involved with Iraq that acutally deserve it, the United States would no longer have anyone in gov't office. :confused: Since we put his ass there in the first place.
