Fifteen people were shot in the Sacramento area from Friday through Sunday. Of those 15 victims, four died.

On Friday, three people were shot along Thurman Way in an apparent drive-by shooting. Later that night, another three people were shot at a home on Rock Creek Way. One of the victims was pronounced dead at the scene while the other two were taken to the hospital.

A little over an hour later, shortly after midnight Saturday morning, a woman along Gloria Drive was found to have a gunshot wound. She had knocked on a neighbor’s door for help, who then called police.

Three people were shot along Mack Road around 8:30 p.m. One person was killed, and the other two victims were said to have minor to non-life-threatening injuries. Police describe suspects in the Mack Road shooting as three or four men wearing hooded sweatshirts.

On Sunday evening, three people were shot in two separate drive-by shootings on 34th and 35th streets in the Oak Park neighborhood. Despite being a street away and within two hours of each other, officers do not believe the two shootings were related.

That same evening, a man was shot and killed in the Home Depot parking lot along Florin Road as he loaded his trunk with purchases. Sacramento County Sheriff’s investigators say the shooting was likely random.

Sheriff’s deputies confirmed to FOX40 that another person was shot and killed around 10:30 Sunday night along Edison Avenue, near Fulton Avenue. Click here to read more about this incident.
