I'm on this site right now lookin at 60 muthafuckin people on the B.A.R.T. board. Then I look on this one and it's like 4 people on this shit. The 9-1-Siccness board used to stand for something. Now all I see is niggas playa-hatin and paper-hatin the next man. It's not so prevalent on the BART. I got love for the Bay but SAC is my soil. You niggas need to stop hatin on each other so much and niggas come together to get this money. I'm tired of only comin on this board to hear about some bullshit beef wit niggas that aint gone bust a grape when they see each other. Niggas this is Sacramento mayne, the muthafuckin Capitol. Let's come together and stop all this bullshit before we get left in the dust. It's time we get this board back to being about networking with your peers, connectin with fans, and hearing the hottest shit out. We dont need no more fuckin this niggas a bitch, that niggas a punk, he aint real whatever, whatever. If you dont like a nigga knuckle up when you see the nigga. Stop the fuckin net-bangin mayne. That aint what Sac is about folk. I'm gonna try to unite this city and make shit happen but if you niggas dont want to come dont get mad when I'm not fuckin wit you later. SAC STAND UP, LET'S GET BACK TO BUSINESS.

One Love,

Hustlematic

I feel you on that right there, but since we live in a small town, unfortunately we are going to have small minded people. Sacramento used to have a large hip hop scene that used to network & politic with each other. There used to be so many places for us to do shows, now the Colonial is the only place in Sac that will even THINK of having a hip hop event. Don't get me wrong, I know they do shows @ Harlow's, but last years 420 event featuring Soul Clap was the last time they had LOCAL hip hop acts there. People in Sac think that they have to hear you 30 times a day on the radio in order to pay to come and see you. It's not even about the bread...just to even support a local artist is damn near like pullin' teeth. If you don't have someone they are familiar with on the CD, they won't pick it up...but I bet they have a CD of every member of G-unit. Part of this lies in the hands of retailers. Since we lost the "Mom & Pop" record stores, local artists have to resort to hand to hand hustling to get their music heard. I don't know of any local artist that has the money is their budget to constantly be on these media outlets & record stores...yes it costs to have your stuff on radio & in the stores. The other part lies in the hands of the hip hop fan, who for some reason, feel it's cool to spend $20 on a mainstream artist's CD (which is usually 10-12 songs, numerous skits and those wonderful radio frendly singles.) BUT will look at a local artist like he / she's crazy when they try to sell them some REAL shit for $10...that's IF you get the opportunity to sell it to someone with out fuckin' po-po thinkin' you're buggin' people & shakin' you down. Also, radio has people driving all the way out to Marysville to see the fuckin' concert of the artist that they play all damn day and night!!! The fucked up part about it, is they don't even let local acts open up for these major label acts. I guess they don't want to be upstaged by local "nobodies." There is HIP HOP in Sac 24 fuckin' 7!! Not once every few months. Go see a local show!! Them shits usually are $5 to $ 10...not $30 - $50. If you are going to call youself a fan of hip hop then support hip hop artists, not record companies. Peace.
