Yeah right.

Apparently, South Park Mexican (aka Carlos Coy) has an album coming out. Not that he'll be in your neighborhood doing any promo run for it (God forbid), seeing as he's currently locked up for messing with a kid that came to sleep over with his daughter.

The story goes that SPM raped that 9-year-old girl, a claim which he denied in court. But, he also admitted to having a baby with a 13-year-old. The jury handed him 45 years, no less, for aggravated sexual assault in 2002. He was 37 at the time, so you do the math... He'll be a grandfather by the time he comes home.

Anyhow, dude had a few solid albums back in the '90s. But, despite Universal Records' involvement in his career, he didn't pop off big time. He was considered to abrasive for public consumption. Who knows? Maybe this album will do the magic trick.

Didn't R. Kelly break all kinds of Billboard records right after he was hit with a slew of child molestation charges? So, Carlos Coy is in good company.

After all, music buyers are strange like that.

Coy was convicted back in 2002 of molestation and sentenced to 45 years behind bars On his new CD it appears he may have composed some of the songs while behind bars. So now the question is -- is he using his prison sentence to cash in?

Simply making money from prison is not illegal. Cashing in on a crime you committed is a different story. Now some people wonder if that's exactly what's happening here.

Almost as soon as the album went on sale at a southwest Houston Best Buy Travis Deyo was there to pick up a copy.

He said, "If I don't really believe that he was really guilty to begin with, so I'm still going to buy his music."

But as eager as some fans were to hear the music, others were disgusted a convicted child molester was making money from prison.

"I just think they should just serve their time," said Karen Parks. "They shouldn't have any rights whatsoever."

The album is the South Park Mexican's first release since convicted of molesting a 9-year-old girl in 2002. It's titled "When Devils Strike" and it contains 15 new tracks. In one song -- "The Day of Unity" -- Coy appears to be singing about his incarceration in a Texas penitentiary.

Song lyrics:
"Up in this prison can't do much, with my homies in the smocks trying to cook lunch."
While it's not clear whether the album was recorded before his conviction, his label -- "Dope House Records" -- refused comment. Crime victim advocate Andy Kahan questions if Coy is capitalizing on the crime to make money.

"From a victim's perspective, it is absolutely nauseating and disgusting," Kahan said.

Coy's trial lawyer Chip Lewis said, "In Mr. Coy's situation he's not profiting clearly -- his family maybe and his children that he dutifully supports."

As for Best Buy, a spokesperson gave us this statement:

"We recognize that some people may have strong feelings about a particular artist. We understand the concerns and feel it is up to the individual consumer to decide their music preferences."
At least one customer has already made up her mind.

Parks said, "If Best Buy sold the album, I wouldn't gone in just then."

Best Buy says at this point they have no plans of removing the album.
