Vikings | Looking to acquire Cardinals' Fitzgerald?
Thu, 8 Feb 2007 09:08:58 -0800

Citing the St. Paul Pioneer Press, SI.com reports there is speculation the Minnesota Vikings might attempt to trade their No. 7 overall draft choice this year plus additional compensation to acquire Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald this offseason.

Supposedly Fitz is unhappy that Green got fired.

It doesn't seem so far-fetched.

It's his hometown...and with the emergence of Bryant Johnson...the Cardinals would still have a pretty good 1-2 combo.

giving up a frist round pick isnt a bad idea..fitz is a boss and hasnt shown what he can really do from what i believe.......but the vikes???? allways over hyped in the pre-season and start out decent most years.....but then it just happens......

Shit the 9ers should work out a deal with their 11th pick and somethin else for Fitzgerald. He could definately be what we need to get this poppin. Even though we are gonna be raw next year regardless.

HAHA, you don't trade your best player within the division, especially with next year coming up. Big Improvements, and the niners and cardinals are sleepers IMO.

Love your optimism, people like you (and me) who think like that, multiplied by a few hundred million, and you've got the machine that is the NFL.

I'm going to remember all of this next year for NFC West Football b/c as a Seahawk fan, I still fear STL more than I do San Francisco.

You guys should be lookin at steppin up the defense next year, instead of thinking of offense.

The Cardinals should look at moving him......He is a good player with a lot of potential, but both he and Boldin are possession type receivers....I dont see anything that remarkable about him thus far into his career...hopefully a team with no real threat can get him to make things interesting...Vikings would be interesting

You'll change your point of view next season, and that's a fact. Shit right now I'm trippin off the Cardinals before the Seahawks and Rams. We lost to those fuckers twice last year. Our defense couldn't handle their beefy squad of WRs(Boldin,Fitz,B.Johnson). Where's my boy Adalius at, he's gonna put us right where we need to be.
