it's absolutely crazy.

de la hoya is 154
pacquaio 135

they'll have to meet at 147.

Thing is though, after the weigh in de la hoya will rehydrate and come in the ring close to 160 or over, pacman on the other hand will stay around 147.

total mismatch.

with that being said I think pacman is skilled enough to win on points, I just doubt he'll be able to hurt oscar at all. I wouldn't be shocked if de la hoya wins by ko either, the size differential is just too big.

when they stand side by side you can really see the difference, just look at the skulls, shoulder width, etc

Weak fight... Oscar should be ashamed for accepting this fight and cheating fight fans. Looking at those pics Oscar is too big!!

I did.

And besides...De La Hoya was the one who challenged Hopkins, to try to win his WBC, WBA, and IBF middleweight championships. It wasn't like Hopkins hand selected Oscar when there were plenty of other middleweights calling him out left and right (Margarito, Wright, etc.)...

Didn't Shane Mosley step up from 135 to 147 to fight Oscar? I can't remember. Oscar wants to end his career with a win which is why he would want to fight a much smaller and shorter fighter 3 weight classes below his. (he fights 154...hasn't fought 147 since gatti) Then again, he fought Stevie Forbes at a catch weight of 150 and never really hurt him. Oscar thinks fighting Pacman would be easy. Why would he want to risk fighting Paul Williams, Cotto, Berto, Winky or Margarito.

Because of the challenge, to prove he's a warrior, etc. I mean his legacy is already cemented. He's a hall of famer w/o doubt. Fighting and beating Pacquiao is kind of a joke, it doesn't do anything for him. Clearly it's about PPV sales, that's all.

Shane was already at 147 when he fought Oscar. He had two previous fights at 147.

Plus, shane mosley started his career at 135 (so did Oscar) and as you age you go up in weight.

Pacquaio started his career at 108 pounds!!!

I think this would be a decent fight since pacman is at the peak of his career and de la hoya should've retired like 2 years ago. so this makes this fight even. either way fuck pacman and magarito. De La Hoya will put both these chumps in their place.

I was thinking De La Hoya could beat Cotto or Margarito but now I may have to change that... I don't know why he's going after a fighter who is much smaller than he is. Is he really looking for a challenge on his way out?

Manny's a close one, but you need to jump off the short bus if you think De La Frijole can beat Margarito.

< laughs and points at you.
