Royalty Inks w/Houston, TX based Latium Ent.

A lot can be said about myspace and the frenzy it’s caused these last 4 or 5 years; not to mention how many dime a dozen musical artists that pop up and tell you they are the next big thing. Yes, it’s true myspace has made the ever so present “Internet Rapper” feel like he can conquer the world of music and entertainment from the comforts of his or her computer chair. More often than not, it just doesn’t happen and bulletins get labeled as spam, friends fall of their buddy lists like flies with no garbage to cling too and another rapper gets a dose of the industry blues.

With that said, welcome to the world of Royalty the King. King of what you say? Myspace….yes, you heard right. Your looking at the face of an artist who has seemingly beaten the odds and hustled his way into a major recording deal. Royalty is from South San Jose and for more than 3 years he’s been on his myspace grind in a real way. With over 10 million views, millions of song plays, over 100k friends on his list and a following similar to the likes of Chris Brown’s myspace…he has basically built the blueprint to the myspace hustle. Chris Brown? Yea right huh? Enter what Royalty likes to call his “Royal Fam”. The Royal Fam is his own fan club you could say, but more like a family. These fans of his are absolutely insane about this kid. They post daily on his site chat room, take pictures wearing the Royal Fam clothing line, get tattoos that say Royal Fam, do picture collages for his myspace page and I’ll go ahead and say it…do basically anything to make sure he is promoted and makes it to the big leagues.

It isn’t all Internet however. He has also put himself on the road numerous times and proved to his doubters that he isn’t the so called “myspace rapper” they called him early on. Royalty has basically video taped every step of his movement and kept all of his fans up on his progress and yes, even his down times when he’s thought about quitting. This has all made such a big difference in the support he receives from his fans because many of them relate to him. He’s that young man with that dream of being an entertainer and hopes of performing in huge arenas across the globe. He’s that young man you might even live right next door to, that spends every last penny he gets from his 9 to 5 on his music because it’s all he knows and has ever dreamed of. That’s Royalty.

He inked his deal in August, I however just got the news and like we do here at 408INC..we bring you news on all things Southbay. He’s signed with well respected Latium Entertainment out of Houston, TX ran by music mogul Charles Chavez. Not familiar with Charles Chavez? A simple Google of his name linked to Latium will do the trick. He along with his company are the ones that helped jump start the careers of Frankie J, Baby Bash & Chamillionaire. Also helped the super producer’s Play N Skillz & Happy Perez achieve their success. The management team at Latium now manages Pitbull, Slim Thug, Trae The Truth and songstress LaLa. As if that isn’t enough, they have also just inked a joint venture with Universal Records and their roster now includes the likes of Pinc Gator, Rob G, Dallas Blocker, Melissa Lujan and yes Royalty the King.

It’s nothing short of an amazing story and one worthy of a big congratulations! Let’s get that new album out now and hit the nation with that music Royalty! CONGRATS!!! Interested in checking him out online: www.myspace.com/royaltytheking
