so who's it gonna be for your early early early ROY prediction

Greg Oden the man child beast playing his first game this year
Beasley the most talented rookie in the draft...who's undisciplined
(edit) or Rose(not kevin love)...the Kevin Durant of 09

^^^Cause ROY is usually about one of two types of player: whoever scores the most or a big who averages a double double

[SARCASM]BUT EVERYBODY KNOWS DERRICK ROSE IS GONNA AVERAGE 15 POINTS, 15 ASSISTS A GAME AND BRING THE BULLS TO THE FINALS. THE BULLS ARE A YOUNG TEAM, WE HAVE THE BRIGHTEST FUTURE IN THE LEAGUE. ROSE IS GONNA TEAR SHIT UP[/SARCASM]

^^^I think Rose is gonna be good for about 16 and 6 with 2 or 3 rebs. He could develop into a top 3 pg in the league but pgs typically take longer to develop. beasley is gonna come out the gate as a scoring machine probably putting up about 20-23 and 7 rebs a game. Oden can pretty much be penciled in for a double double with 2-3 blocks.

Im goin 2 go with Love...I think that he is stepping into a good situation and doesn't have too much pressure...Oden could get injured again, Beasley will be good, but I can also see him being a turnover machine and slightly overrated..Mayo is also a good bet, but I have yet to be wowed by him in any sort of way...so Ill go with KLove

Ok. Let's see...you mention overrated, but that doesn't apply to Love? And 'yet to be wowed'...and you're still not talking about Love?

LOL

am I the only one who seen Kevin Love make a FULL COURT shot from the CHEST?

while I understand its not necessarily going to translate into being a great NBA player, the fact that he ROUTINELY drains full court and half court shots before his games shows a lot of potential.

Dicky V sees this guy as a sleeping beast, and that's good enough for me. Not saying he'll be ROY, but if anything I think Love is underrated.

yeah i seen that, did u see the full court alley oop to beasley? that was ill too.

I was a Love hater, but now that he coming to my Wolves I've done more research, and if (big if) he can keep his fitness up I think he can be a Robert Horry type player. Not really an all star but a guy that makes big contributions that lead to wins. Hopefully (but I still wish we woulda kept Mayo)

Derrik Rose is NOT the Kevin Durant of 09. It's not even a fair comparison. They're playing styles aren't similar.

It's like saying Beasley is the new Tayshaun Prince or something.
i'm not even CLOSE to talking about playing styles
i'm saying...one is obviously more HYPED then the other...
just like last year
Oden dwarfed Durants shine before the draft
Beasley did the same to Rose imo
