Steve Harvey Show' actor shot to death

A 26-year-old actor best-known for playing "Romeo" on "The Steve Harvey Show" was shot to death Saturday morning as he sat in a parked car.
Merlin Santana, who lived in the North Hollywood section of Los Angeles, was in the passenger seat of a car being driven by a friend in south Los Angeles, investigators said. The young actor was fatally wounded shortly after 2.30 a.m.
Police offered few details and said they did not know the motive. They said the driver was not injured and that he drove about a half-mile to an intersection where he flagged down two officers.
One of the New Yorker's earlier parts was playing Stanley in The Cosby Show in 1991.
Santana won ALMAs, Image Awards and NCLR Bravo awards for his role as Romeo Santana in The Steve Harvey Show.
