"During in interview with Eurogamer, Take-Two's Ben Feder discussed some minor details about Rockstar's upcoming PlayStation 3 exclusive: Agent. During Sony's press conference the only announcement made was that the game was, indeed, going to be made with the Sony system in mind, but it was mysteriously without images or the slightest of details. The logo itself is as appealing as it could be, but it left gamers wanting more, and didn't really come off as the important megaton announcement it would have been if they provided a little insight into what we should be expecting. During the interview, said insight was given, and little bits of information are slowly coming together.

Ben said that the series is its own franchise entirely, which is something that led to the decision to make it a platform exclusive. They wanted to make sure it got users' attention - a promise that an exclusive title certainly carries. When asked about the initial comparisons to Grand Theft Auto, his answer was a bit more cryptic.

"It's a completely different storyline, there is completely different character development. It's a game about espionage, set in the 1970s. GTA is obviously more about an urban experience, a typically rags to riches experience. Very, very different storylines, very different character development. It's going to be very fresh for gamers."

It sounds like he's dodging the question a bit, and saying that the game has a different story than Grand Theft Auto isn't in any way saying that the game will play differently. It wouldn't come as a surprise to me at all that Rockstar is a bit sick of bowing to Microsoft's system's inadequacies and is anxious to see what they can do when they push the cell processor to its limits. Seeing as they're all wearing money-hats purchased by Microsoft's GTA DLC money, starting a new franchise might be the only way."

Agent for PS3 Still in Development

It's been awhile since we last heard about Agent, the 1970s espionage title developed by Rockstar North, the team behind the Grand Theft Auto series.

Take-Two Chairman Strauss Zelnick stated on the company's fourth quarter earnings call today the game is still in development but did not elaborate further. Agent was first announced during E3 2009 as a PlayStation 3 exclusive title.

In March 2010, Sony Computer Entertainment America president Jack Tretton said Agent was still a platform exclusive title. Take-Two is the parent company of Rockstar Games.

The first images of Rockstar Games' espionage title Agent have surfaced online, courtesy of a former artist working on the game.

The purported images were published in an online portfolio (via Gamersmint) and dated 2009. It's unclear just how far along the game was at the time these were taken. Rockstar Games has never shown any screenshots of Agent since its announcement at E3 2009.

It remains to be seen if the title is still exclusive to PlayStation 3. Publisher Take-Two has insists the game is still in development.

Rockstar representatives have yet to comment on the images.

WTF. Its been in development since 2009 and we still have no news from Rockstar? The website still says "Coming soon".
By the time it releases nobody is going to remember it was even announced.
