It is certainly a fundamental part of the Vedic world view, but if we're talking about God and a Dawkins guy starts going on about why or how I don't believe in a flying spaghetti monster or revolving teapot or whatever else, he'll be in for a rather disconcerting reply.

I saw a video of where Dawkins is actually talking one-on-one with a Vedic and he made that guy sound like a lunatic as well.

I think what this gets right down to, is that you 916, believe in the soul, spirit, etc, and Dawkins doesn't. Therefore, he will never go for anything you have to say because you simply couldn't prove the soul exists.

Oh, and you better not be talking about Deepak Chopra. That guy is a new age, self-help type before he is any kind of Vedic authority. He just juggles a few Vedic terms to promote his watered-down, feel-good philosophy.

Sounds to me like "the faith" is carrying you. Which makes you seem very weak.

Dawkins is pretty much the most eloquent person ive ever heard speak. There's really no comparison when it comes to solid debating power. Making Dawkins sound wrong in a debate (whether he is or not) seems near impossible to me.

no one can prove god doesnt exist, thus, i cant prove he does, if it goes to the prove it game, we all lose, so i usually dont even debate, i share idea, and learn from the person im speaking with, and we agree to disagree, each becoming more educated in each others beliefs
