A WrestleMania video package was shown before the live PPV. Mickie James beat Beth Phoenix prior to the WWE Judgment Day pay-per-view (dark match). Rosa Mendes tried to interfere but Mickie kicked her. She reversed a hold on Beth to pick up the win.

CM Punk vs. Umaga
Jim Ross welcomes us to Judgment Day and CM Punk's music immediately hits to start the first match. Umaga makes his way to the ring with semi-new music. CM Punk attacks early, but Umaga overwhelms him quickly to gain control of the early portion of this match. "CM Punk" chant from the crowd to try and revive Punk. Umaga continues to maul Punk, throwing him around with ease. Another "CM Punk" chant from the crowd. Umaga with a nerve-hold on Punk. Umaga throws Punk into the steel post, hitting his left shoulder. Umaga again puts the nerve-hold on Punk. Umaga with a big double-knee drop to a grounded Punk. Umaga with a big boot, knocks Punk from inside the ring to the floor. Umaga has been on the offense this entire match. Another "CM Punk" chant breaks out from the crowd. Punk tries to bodyslam Umaga but he's too big for him. Umaga again with the nerve-hold on Punk. Umaga goes to the top for a flying headbutt, but Punk moves and Umaga misses. Double-count from the ref as both men work to get back to their feet. Umaga bull-rushes Punk, but Punk ducks and Umaga goes flying over the ropes to the floor. Punk runs and dives onto Umaga on the floor for punctuation. Back in the ring, Punk comes with a running knee to Umaga. Jumping heel-kick from Punk which backs Umaga into the corner. Punk with a running knee to Umaga in the corner into a DDT attempt. Umaga brushes Punk off, but Punk hits the second rope and comes off with a bulldog onto Umaga. "CM Punk" chant again from the loud audience. Punk catches Umaga with a big high kick and comes off the top with a body press. Punk tries to pick Umaga up, but again Umaga is too much. Umaga gets Punk up instead and drives him down with a samoan backdrop. Umaga signals for the samoan spike but Punk avoids it. Umaga goes for it again and hits it this time, giving him the pinfall and victory over Punk.

Backstage we see Chavo talking to Vickie about Cena being officially cleared to compete tonight. The Big Show walks in and talks about tonight's match with Cena. Edge walks in and tells Big Show he needs to speak to his wife. Big Show walks out. Edge approaches Vickie and we fade away and return to the announcers.
ECW Title:
-Christian (c) vs. Jack Swagger
Swagger is out first. Christian's music hits and a big pop erupts from the crowd as the ECW champion makes his way to the ring. Swagger tries a takedown early but Christian avoids. Christian slaps Swagger. Swagger throws Christian out of the ring. Swagger comes out after Christian but Christian runs around the ring and dives back in. Swagger follows him in and catches him. Christian reverses and tries the "killswitch", but Swagger escapes. Christian makes a hand-gesture to Swagger saying he was "this close." "Let's go Christian" chant breaks out from the crowd. Swagger with an amateur-wrestling style takedown on Christian. Back up, Swagger shoulder-blocks Christian down to the mat. He whips Christian into the corner with power. Swagger charges at Christian but Christian ducks and pulls the top rope down, which causes Swagger to fly to the outside. Christian leaps onto the top rope in one bounce and flies out to hit Swagger on the floor. Christian tosses Swagger back into the ring as we get a double-feature replay of the last spot. Christian misses a big diving headbutt off the top and Swagger covers him. He only gets two. Swagger and Christian both go to the top rope and Swagger slams Christian down hard as they both come crashing down. Swagger with a quick inside craddle pin attempt but only gets two. Christian with a tornado-reverse DDT off the second rope. He goes for the pin but only gets two. Swagger rolls up Christian and had two, almost three, but the ref noticed Swagger holding Christian's tights and stopped the count. Christian goes for the "killswitch" but Swagger reverses into a big slam. Swagger pulls down his straps but Christian rolls Swagger up, holds his tights, and gets the pin. Unlike Swagger, the ref didn't see Christian holding the tights.

Backstage we see Edge and Chavo talking in private. Edge is angry with Chavo for being close to the GM, Vickie Guerrero, his wife. I guess both will be bickering at one another for having Vickie's ear. Edge tells Chavo to excuse him because he's got a World title match.
-Jim Ross announces a bunch of the Chicago Bears including Jay Cutler and Brian Urlacher, who are sitting front row.
Shelton Benjamin vs. John Morrison
Benjamin comes out with Charlie Haas. Morrison is out now to a big pop. The two slug it out early. Morrison slams Benjamin down. Benjamin is outside the ring and Morrison comes off the top and to the floor with an insane multi-flip. Benjamin with a big flying kick that drops Morrison onto the floor. Benjamin has Morrison back in the ring now and is in control. Benjamin with a choke hold on Morrison as Charlie Haas cheers him on from the outside. Benjamin with a big back-elbow to Morrison. Benjamin stomping away at Morrison. Morrison with a big flying russian leg sweep to Benjamin. That looked cool. Morrison with a cool sequence of offense. Running knee lift from Morrison which only gets him two for a pin attempt. Morrison tries a flying move but Benjamin catches him and powerbombs him into the turnbuckle/corner. That's a new one. Benjamin with the cover but only gets two. Morrison comes off the second rope with a big kick that knocks Benjamin down. Morrison hits his finisher now and gets the pinfall and victory.

In-Ring Segment: The Miz, Santino Marella, Alfonso Soriano, Chavo
The Miz's music hits and Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler say they weren't expecting him to come out right now. Miz says before he gets started he wants to recognize the winner of the previous match. Miz says "let's hear it for Marty Jannetty....I mean John Morrison." Crowd getting on The Miz's case. Miz says he knows John Cena doesn't want any part of him tonight. He says Cena is overrated yet everyone still likes him, like a lovable-loser. Miz disses the Chicaco Cubs and the crowd gets on him again. Miz points out Alfonso Soriano in the crowd. Soriano gets a big pop. Miz says he'll never see a World Series ring as long as he plays for the Cubs. Miz continues to talk trash to Soriano. Miz challenges Alfonso Soriano to come into the ring and fight him. Miz asks to be excused as he's getting a phone call. He answers it and says "really, really really?" three times. He hangs up and says for Soriano to forget it as it was the Cubs manager and he said he would rather Soriano get his yearly injury in the field than off. Miz says like Cena, Soriano forfits. Miz says he's now 4-0. Miz goes to continue but he's interupted as Santino Marella's music hits and out he comes as himself - thank god. Santino makes his way to the ring with a microphone. Miz asks him what he wants. Santino says he's sorry and calls him "Fizz." Santino is defending Alfonso Soriano. He says if he's not mistaken, that's a fellow Italian, which Soriano of course is not. Miz asks why Santino is interupting him with this. Santino says wrestlers are starting to look like animals. He calls Vickie Guerrero a pig. He says Vladimir Kozlov looks like some cartoon character, which they show on the titan tron. Miz asks what animal he looks like. He says "that's easy Fizz, you are a jackass" as he makes donkey sounds. Miz tells him to shut up and says he has no problem beating him down. Santino says he hopes he brought his medal detector . Miz asks why, and Santino says it's because he brought some guns, as he tears off his sleeves to reveal his biceps. Miz with a cheap shot on Santino. Santino quickly reverses and is punching away. Miz reverses and punches as the crowd boo's. Santino reverses as the crowd cheers. Miz reverses and the crowd boo's. Miz with a big DDT and he stands proudly as the crowd boo's. As Miz walks off, Chavo comes running in and he stares at Santino smiling. He climbs to the top rope and frog-splashes Santino. He asks Santino who the pig is now and walks away.
Backstage: Josh Matthews Interviews Chris Jericho
Backstage, Josh Matthews interviews Chris Jericho. Matthews asks if there's a controversy about Jericho on SmackDown. Jericho says there is ever since he's been drafted as he's been robbed of the World title twice. He says that is no conspiracy. He says he is the most talented performer of his generation. Jericho guarantees he'll become the new Intercontinental champion tonight.
Intercontinental Title:
Rey Mysterio (c) vs. Chris Jericho
Mysterio comes out first for some reason. Jim Ross points out this is the same arena Mysterio won the World title in. Jericho's music hits and out he comes. The match begins. Jim Ross points out Mysterio has never lost as Judgment Day. Jericho starts the match charging Mysterio, who drop toe-holds him across the middle rope. He tries the 6-1-9 but Jericho runs out to the floor. Jericho takes his time getting back into the ring. He kicks Mysterio and clotheslines him down. Loud "Y2J" chant from the crowd that the announcers are ignoring so far. Jim Ross mentions Jericho holds the record as most I-C title reigns with 8, and is looking to break his own record tonight with 9. Mysterio throws Jericho to the floor. Mysterio comes over the top after him and crashes into him on the floor. Jericho whips Mysterio into the barricade. Jericho throws Mysterio back in the ring. As he's coming in Jericho is caught by a kick from Mysterio. Mysterio comes off the top with a leg drop. He goes for the pin but only gets two. Replays are shown of that. Jericho goes to crotch Mysterio on the top rope but Mysterio slips and falls to the floor. Jericho dropkicks Mysterio as he attempts to get back in the ring. We get some replays of Mysterio falling to the floor. Jim Ross mentions this is the same building where Jericho made his WWE debut. Jericho with a slingshot body press onto Mysterio in the ring for a two count. Jericho with a choke-hold on Mysterio. Mysterio with an inziguri. Jericho back up and he clotheslines Mysterio back down. This is turning into a good match. Lots of big Lucha Libre moves from Jericho that I can't even describe. On the top rope, Jericho is trying to take Mysterio's mask off. The announcers act completely shocked that Jericho would even try to do that. Mysterio comes off the top with a splash onto Jericho. Mysterio with a big kick to Jericho and a pin attempt, but only gets two. Jericho tries the Walls of Jericho but Mysterio quickly escapes. Jericho with a quick roll up but only gets two. The announcers again talk about Jericho trying to take Mysterio's mask off. Mysterio with a head scissors that sets up his 6-1-9. He tries it but Jericho avoids it and catches Mysterio in the Walls of Jericho instead. Mysterio is fighting it off and gets his legs free and around Jericho's head. He sets up the 6-1-9 again, attempts it again, misses it again. Jericho again reverses that into the Walls of Jericho and he sits down on it hard. Jericho has him in the middle of the ring but Mysterio is fighting it. Mysterio is inching his way to the ropes but Jericho drags him back to the center. Mysterio rolls into a pin attempt out of nowhere but only gets two. Jericho catches Mysterio and slams him down with a power bomb. This really is a good match. Mysterio catches Jericho with a 6-1-9 from in the corner for a change. He comes off the top with the springboard and pins Jericho for the win.

-Randy Orton (c) vs. Batista
Orton's music plays and the champion is out first in this match again. Batista's music hits and out comes "The Animal." The bell sounds to start this WWE title match and Orton immediately escapes through the bottom rope and to the floor, avoiding Batista. Orton slowly makes his way back into the ring and the two tie-up. Batista gets Orton in a side head-lock. Orton pushes Batista off but Batista knocks Orton down with a big shoulder-block. Orton slides out to the floor to recover. "Ba-ti-sta" chant from the crowd. Batista with a suplex to put Orton down. Batista throws Orton into the ropes and catches him with a punch. Orton uses Batista's tights to yank him through the ropes and onto the floor while the referee wasn't looking. Batista attempts to climb back in the ring but Orton knocks him back to the floor with a big kick. Orton goes out to attack Batista on the floor. Orton whips Batista into the barricade hard. Orton tosses Batista back in the ring as we get a close-up of the Orton-stare. He climbs back in the ring and covers Batista but only gets two. Another close-up of an Orton-stare. Orton kicking Batista repeatedly now. Orton with a cover but again only gets two. Orton trying to wear Batista down now with a chin-lock. Batista is trying to power out of the hold but Orton holds it on. Batista with some elbows to the body to break free. Orton catches Batista running in with a knee to the body. Orton pins Batista but again gets two. Orton kicking Batista repeatedly in the leg, trying to soften that limb up. Orton puts Batista back in a chin-lock to slow the pace down. Orton has Batista draped across the ropes and he DDT's him down to the mat the same way he did to Stephanie McMahon. Orton stalking Batista as he tries to get up. Orton backs up and as he runs in to punt Batista, Batista explodes at him and spears him down hard. We have a punching exchange now that Batista gets the better of. He whips Orton into a corner but Orton catches him with the big boot coming in. Batista shakes it off and spears Orton into the corner. Batista with a huge powerslam on Orton and a pin, but he only gets two. Orton slides out of the ring and yells at the referee to count him out. The ref starts his count and Batista comes out after Orton. Batista is beating on Orton. Orton grabs onto the ring post and is clinched on and trying to hold on to get counted out. Batista gets him off and throws him back into the ring to break the count. Orton again rolls out of the ring. Batista goes to bring him in but Orton drops him throat-first across the top rope. Orton rolls out to get a chair but Batista knocks it out of his hands as tries to come in the ring with it. Batista slams Orton down again and tries a pin but only gets two. Batista sets Orton up for the Batista-bomb but Orton slides away and again rolls to the floor. Orton grabs the WWE title and is walking up the ramp. Batista is in pursuit of him and gets him back in the ring before the referee hit ten. Batista with a big spinebuster on Orton back in the ring. Batista again sets Orton up for the Batista-bomb but Orton again escapes. Batista charges at Orton who moves and Batista hits his arm on the ring post. Orton is stalking Batista now, seemingly setting him up for the RKO. Orton goes for the RKO but Batista throws him off. Orton out of nowhere bitch-slaps the referee hard and the ref calls for the bell, disqualifying Orton. Ric Flair comes out of nowhere and attacks as the crowd goes nuts. Batista's music hits as Orton runs off.

A video package airs, highlighting the history of the Cena-Big Show feud. Big Show's music hits and he's out first. Long pause followed by Cena's music, followed by loud ass mixed reaction. Typical Cena-stuff. The announcers say they learned earlier that Cena was cleared to compete despite him being nowhere near 100 percent. Cena comes out and isn't selling any horrendous injury, but doesn't have his usual fire and energy. He seems like the "serious Cena" as he stares down Big Show. The bell sounds and Big Show slowly walks to the center of the ring with a smug look on his face. Cena circles around him some and backs up. Cena rolls to avoid Big Show and is selling like his ribs are hurt. He acts like "screw it" and starts circling Big Show again. Crowd has conflicting Cena chants going one after the other right now. Big Show finally gets hold of Cena and nails him with a big body shot that drops him. Cena slowly works his way back up and Big Show drops him again with another body shot. Big Show kicks Cena while he's down. Big Show yells "I told you you couldn't do this" as he nails Cena with another body punch. Cena tries firing back with some punches to Big Show but he's knocked down by the giant. Big Show stands on Cena's hurt ribs as Cena screams in pain. Big Show picks Cena up and bodyslams him down. Big Show slowly walking around Cena as he tries to stand back up. Conflicting chants again roaring from the crowd in Chicago. Big Show slams Cena down and tries pinning him but only gets two. Big Show headbutts Cena down. Big Show throws Cena over the top and to the floor. Back in the ring, Big Show is working more body shots on the injured Cena. Big Show whips Cena into the corner hard. Cena dives onto Big Show but he's caught in a beer-hug. Cena screams in pain as Big Show squeezes away on the injured body of Cena. After absorbing a lot of punishment, Cena finally breaks his way out of the bear-hug. Big Show with a big splash onto Cena in the corner. Big Show misses a second splash attempt in the corner and Cena has his second wind. Cena with a bulldog on Big Show. Cena is firing up. Cena does the "you can't see me" gesture to a grounded Big Show. He hits one side, he hits the other and hits the five-knuckle shuffle. Big Show is up quick and has Cena for a chokeslam attempt but Cena escapes. Cena gets Big Show down and is looking to lock in the STFU submission hold. Back up, Big Show catches Cena out of nowhere with a big clothesline. Big Show drags Cena into a corner. Big Show comes off the ropes with a Vader-bomb. He pins Cena but only gets two. Big Show and the announcers act shocked that Cena kicked out. "That's one of the most amazing things I've ever seen!! How'd he do that?!" - Jerry Lawler. Big Show stomping away at the injured body of Cena. Big Show tries a second Vader-bomb but Cena moves. Cena hops onto Big Show and again tries the STFU, but Big Show is too big for him to apply it. Cena climbs to the top rope and drops a leg drop on a standing-hunched over Big Show. Cena a third time tries the STFU but Big Show again avoids it. Big Show picks Cena up for a power bomb but keeps his momentum going and falls back, slamming Cena down on his face from the power-bomb position. Big Show is calling for the knockout blow as Cena slowly staggers back to his feet. Big Show swings, Cena ducks and hoists him up for the FU. He nails it and gets the pin for the victory.

-Edge (c) vs. Jeff Hardy
A video package airs showing the history of the Hardy-Edge feud. Edge's music hits and the World champion makes his way to the ring, continuing tonight's theme of champions entering the ring first. Long pause and Jeff Hardy's music hits as the crowd pops big. Bell sounds to start the match and Edge gets Hardy down early. Hardy quickly reverses and has Edge in an armbar. Edge reverses and has Hardy in the armbar. Edge starts stomping away at Hardy. Back up, Hardy clotheslines Edge and Edge scoots out to the floor. Hardy flips over the top rope, onto to Edge on the floor. Back in the ring, Hardy tries to pin Edge but only gets two. Edge starts punching Hardy and blatantly throws him over the top rope, onto the floor. Edge slams Hardy down as Jim Ross talks about Hardy's back injury. Edge continues to work on Hardy's back. Pin attempt from Edge only gets two. Edge working some more on Hardy's back. The crowd tries getting behind Hardy as Hardy almost makes a comeback before Edge cuts him off with a slam. Edge tries a clothesline but Hardy hits a cross-body instead. Hardy with a neckbreaker on Edge. Hardy with an inverted suplex as he goes to the top. Hardy misses coming off the top as Edge moved out of the way. Edge quickly tries to pin him, but Hardy kicks out. Hardy with a clothesline out of nowhere. Arm-drag by Hardy followed by a spinebuster. Standing dropkick from Hardy followed by a failed pin attempt. Hardy climbs to the top rope and comes off with a big flying cross-body that gets him a count of two. Hardy whips Edge to the ropes and tries a dropkick, but Edge held onto the ropes to avoid it. Hardy with a quick roll-up out of nowhere but only gets a two count. Edge tries the impaler but Hardy avoids it and slaps on a sharpshooter. He locks it in tight and Edge screams in pain. He slowly crawls to the ropes to break the hold. Hardy with a twist-of-fate out of nowhere but only gets two. Out on the floor, Hardy clears off an announce table and takes the padding off part of the barricade. He tries running across the top of the barricade but Edge got up and dove into him as he was coming in for a spear. Edge rolls back into the ring as the ref starts his count on Hardy. Hardy makes it back to the ring by nine as the crowd pops and Edge drops to his knees in disappointment. Replays of the spear off the table spot are shown. Edge is stomping away at Hardy in frustration. "Let's go Hardy" chant from the crowd and Hardy hits Edge with a twist-of-fate and a legdrop off the second rope. He pins Edge but Edge gets his foot on the ropes at two to break the count. Hardy with a whisper in the wind off the top out of nowhere. Another twist-of-fate from Hardy but he still only gets two out of a pin attempt. Hardy throws Edge to the floor and follows him out. He positions the ring steps for a spot and hits a flying clothesline with his leg that takes both men over the barricade and into the front row. Out of nowhere, Matt Hardy pops out of the front row and attacks Jeff with the cast. Edge rolls Jeff into the ring and pins him but he kicks out at two. Replays are shown of Matt Hardy hitting Jeff with the cast. Edge is waiting for Jeff to get up so he can spear him. Edge charges at him for the spear but Hardy drop toe-holds him face-first into the turnbuckle. Hardy slowly climbs to the top rope. He slips and Edge climbs up after him. Both men on the top and Edge hits an Edgecution off the top rope. Edge pins Hardy and gets the 1-2-3 to win the match and retain his title.

Backstage we see Edge and Chavo talking in private. Edge is angry with Chavo for being close to the GM, Vickie Guerrero, his wife. I guess both will be bickering at one another for having Vickie's ear. Edge tells Chavo to excuse him because he's got a World title match.
-Jim Ross announces a bunch of the Chicago Bears including Jay Cutler and Brian Urlacher, who are sitting front row.
Shelton Benjamin vs. John Morrison
Benjamin comes out with Charlie Haas. Morrison is out now to a big pop. The two slug it out early. Morrison slams Benjamin down. Benjamin is outside the ring and Morrison comes off the top and to the floor with an insane multi-flip. Benjamin with a big flying kick that drops Morrison onto the floor. Benjamin has Morrison back in the ring now and is in control. Benjamin with a choke hold on Morrison as Charlie Haas cheers him on from the outside. Benjamin with a big back-elbow to Morrison. Benjamin stomping away at Morrison. Morrison with a big flying russian leg sweep to Benjamin. That looked cool. Morrison with a cool sequence of offense. Running knee lift from Morrison which only gets him two for a pin attempt. Morrison tries a flying move but Benjamin catches him and powerbombs him into the turnbuckle/corner. That's a new one. Benjamin with the cover but only gets two. Morrison comes off the second rope with a big kick that knocks Benjamin down. Morrison hits his finisher now and gets the pinfall and victory.

The Miz's music hits and Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler say they weren't expecting him to come out right now. Miz says before he gets started he wants to recognize the winner of the previous match. Miz says "let's hear it for Marty Jannetty....I mean John Morrison." Crowd getting on The Miz's case. Miz says he knows John Cena doesn't want any part of him tonight. He says Cena is overrated yet everyone still likes him, like a lovable-loser. Miz disses the Chicaco Cubs and the crowd gets on him again. Miz points out Alfonso Soriano in the crowd. Soriano gets a big pop. Miz says he'll never see a World Series ring as long as he plays for the Cubs. Miz continues to talk trash to Soriano. Miz challenges Alfonso Soriano to come into the ring and fight him. Miz asks to be excused as he's getting a phone call. He answers it and says "really, really really?" three times. He hangs up and says for Soriano to forget it as it was the Cubs manager and he said he would rather Soriano get his yearly injury in the field than off. Miz says like Cena, Soriano forfits. Miz says he's now 4-0. Miz goes to continue but he's interupted as Santino Marella's music hits and out he comes as himself - thank god. Santino makes his way to the ring with a microphone. Miz asks him what he wants. Santino says he's sorry and calls him "Fizz." Santino is defending Alfonso Soriano. He says if he's not mistaken, that's a fellow Italian, which Soriano of course is not. Miz asks why Santino is interupting him with this. Santino says wrestlers are starting to look like animals. He calls Vickie Guerrero a pig. He says Vladimir Kozlov looks like some cartoon character, which they show on the titan tron. Miz asks what animal he looks like. He says "that's easy Fizz, you are a jackass" as he makes donkey sounds. Miz tells him to shut up and says he has no problem beating him down. Santino says he hopes he brought his medal detector . Miz asks why, and Santino says it's because he brought some guns, as he tears off his sleeves to reveal his biceps. Miz with a cheap shot on Santino. Santino quickly reverses and is punching away. Miz reverses and punches as the crowd boo's. Santino reverses as the crowd cheers. Miz reverses and the crowd boo's. Miz with a big DDT and he stands proudly as the crowd boo's. As Miz walks off, Chavo comes running in and he stares at Santino smiling. He climbs to the top rope and frog-splashes Santino. He asks Santino who the pig is now and walks away.
Backstage: Josh Matthews Interviews Chris Jericho
Backstage, Josh Matthews interviews Chris Jericho. Matthews asks if there's a controversy about Jericho on SmackDown. Jericho says there is ever since he's been drafted as he's been robbed of the World title twice. He says that is no conspiracy. He says he is the most talented performer of his generation. Jericho guarantees he'll become the new Intercontinental champion tonight.
Intercontinental Title:
Rey Mysterio (c) vs. Chris Jericho
Mysterio comes out first for some reason. Jim Ross points out this is the same arena Mysterio won the World title in. Jericho's music hits and out he comes. The match begins. Jim Ross points out Mysterio has never lost as Judgment Day. Jericho starts the match charging Mysterio, who drop toe-holds him across the middle rope. He tries the 6-1-9 but Jericho runs out to the floor. Jericho takes his time getting back into the ring. He kicks Mysterio and clotheslines him down. Loud "Y2J" chant from the crowd that the announcers are ignoring so far. Jim Ross mentions Jericho holds the record as most I-C title reigns with 8, and is looking to break his own record tonight with 9. Mysterio throws Jericho to the floor. Mysterio comes over the top after him and crashes into him on the floor. Jericho whips Mysterio into the barricade. Jericho throws Mysterio back in the ring. As he's coming in Jericho is caught by a kick from Mysterio. Mysterio comes off the top with a leg drop. He goes for the pin but only gets two. Replays are shown of that. Jericho goes to crotch Mysterio on the top rope but Mysterio slips and falls to the floor. Jericho dropkicks Mysterio as he attempts to get back in the ring. We get some replays of Mysterio falling to the floor. Jim Ross mentions this is the same building where Jericho made his WWE debut. Jericho with a slingshot body press onto Mysterio in the ring for a two count. Jericho with a choke-hold on Mysterio. Mysterio with an inziguri. Jericho back up and he clotheslines Mysterio back down. This is turning into a good match. Lots of big Lucha Libre moves from Jericho that I can't even describe. On the top rope, Jericho is trying to take Mysterio's mask off. The announcers act completely shocked that Jericho would even try to do that. Mysterio comes off the top with a splash onto Jericho. Mysterio with a big kick to Jericho and a pin attempt, but only gets two. Jericho tries the Walls of Jericho but Mysterio quickly escapes. Jericho with a quick roll up but only gets two. The announcers again talk about Jericho trying to take Mysterio's mask off. Mysterio with a head scissors that sets up his 6-1-9. He tries it but Jericho avoids it and catches Mysterio in the Walls of Jericho instead. Mysterio is fighting it off and gets his legs free and around Jericho's head. He sets up the 6-1-9 again, attempts it again, misses it again. Jericho again reverses that into the Walls of Jericho and he sits down on it hard. Jericho has him in the middle of the ring but Mysterio is fighting it. Mysterio is inching his way to the ropes but Jericho drags him back to the center. Mysterio rolls into a pin attempt out of nowhere but only gets two. Jericho catches Mysterio and slams him down with a power bomb. This really is a good match. Mysterio catches Jericho with a 6-1-9 from in the corner for a change. He comes off the top with the springboard and pins Jericho for the win.

Orton's music plays and the champion is out first in this match again. Batista's music hits and out comes "The Animal." The bell sounds to start this WWE title match and Orton immediately escapes through the bottom rope and to the floor, avoiding Batista. Orton slowly makes his way back into the ring and the two tie-up. Batista gets Orton in a side head-lock. Orton pushes Batista off but Batista knocks Orton down with a big shoulder-block. Orton slides out to the floor to recover. "Ba-ti-sta" chant from the crowd. Batista with a suplex to put Orton down. Batista throws Orton into the ropes and catches him with a punch. Orton uses Batista's tights to yank him through the ropes and onto the floor while the referee wasn't looking. Batista attempts to climb back in the ring but Orton knocks him back to the floor with a big kick. Orton goes out to attack Batista on the floor. Orton whips Batista into the barricade hard. Orton tosses Batista back in the ring as we get a close-up of the Orton-stare. He climbs back in the ring and covers Batista but only gets two. Another close-up of an Orton-stare. Orton kicking Batista repeatedly now. Orton with a cover but again only gets two. Orton trying to wear Batista down now with a chin-lock. Batista is trying to power out of the hold but Orton holds it on. Batista with some elbows to the body to break free. Orton catches Batista running in with a knee to the body. Orton pins Batista but again gets two. Orton kicking Batista repeatedly in the leg, trying to soften that limb up. Orton puts Batista back in a chin-lock to slow the pace down. Orton has Batista draped across the ropes and he DDT's him down to the mat the same way he did to Stephanie McMahon. Orton stalking Batista as he tries to get up. Orton backs up and as he runs in to punt Batista, Batista explodes at him and spears him down hard. We have a punching exchange now that Batista gets the better of. He whips Orton into a corner but Orton catches him with the big boot coming in. Batista shakes it off and spears Orton into the corner. Batista with a huge powerslam on Orton and a pin, but he only gets two. Orton slides out of the ring and yells at the referee to count him out. The ref starts his count and Batista comes out after Orton. Batista is beating on Orton. Orton grabs onto the ring post and is clinched on and trying to hold on to get counted out. Batista gets him off and throws him back into the ring to break the count. Orton again rolls out of the ring. Batista goes to bring him in but Orton drops him throat-first across the top rope. Orton rolls out to get a chair but Batista knocks it out of his hands as tries to come in the ring with it. Batista slams Orton down again and tries a pin but only gets two. Batista sets Orton up for the Batista-bomb but Orton slides away and again rolls to the floor. Orton grabs the WWE title and is walking up the ramp. Batista is in pursuit of him and gets him back in the ring before the referee hit ten. Batista with a big spinebuster on Orton back in the ring. Batista again sets Orton up for the Batista-bomb but Orton again escapes. Batista charges at Orton who moves and Batista hits his arm on the ring post. Orton is stalking Batista now, seemingly setting him up for the RKO. Orton goes for the RKO but Batista throws him off. Orton out of nowhere bitch-slaps the referee hard and the ref calls for the bell, disqualifying Orton. Ric Flair comes out of nowhere and attacks as the crowd goes nuts. Batista's music hits as Orton runs off.

John Cena vs. Big Show
A video package airs, highlighting the history of the Cena-Big Show feud. Big Show's music hits and he's out first. Long pause followed by Cena's music, followed by loud ass mixed reaction. Typical Cena-stuff. The announcers say they learned earlier that Cena was cleared to compete despite him being nowhere near 100 percent. Cena comes out and isn't selling any horrendous injury, but doesn't have his usual fire and energy. He seems like the "serious Cena" as he stares down Big Show. The bell sounds and Big Show slowly walks to the center of the ring with a smug look on his face. Cena circles around him some and backs up. Cena rolls to avoid Big Show and is selling like his ribs are hurt. He acts like "screw it" and starts circling Big Show again. Crowd has conflicting Cena chants going one after the other right now. Big Show finally gets hold of Cena and nails him with a big body shot that drops him. Cena slowly works his way back up and Big Show drops him again with another body shot. Big Show kicks Cena while he's down. Big Show yells "I told you you couldn't do this" as he nails Cena with another body punch. Cena tries firing back with some punches to Big Show but he's knocked down by the giant. Big Show stands on Cena's hurt ribs as Cena screams in pain. Big Show picks Cena up and bodyslams him down. Big Show slowly walking around Cena as he tries to stand back up. Conflicting chants again roaring from the crowd in Chicago. Big Show slams Cena down and tries pinning him but only gets two. Big Show headbutts Cena down. Big Show throws Cena over the top and to the floor. Back in the ring, Big Show is working more body shots on the injured Cena. Big Show whips Cena into the corner hard. Cena dives onto Big Show but he's caught in a beer-hug. Cena screams in pain as Big Show squeezes away on the injured body of Cena. After absorbing a lot of punishment, Cena finally breaks his way out of the bear-hug. Big Show with a big splash onto Cena in the corner. Big Show misses a second splash attempt in the corner and Cena has his second wind. Cena with a bulldog on Big Show. Cena is firing up. Cena does the "you can't see me" gesture to a grounded Big Show. He hits one side, he hits the other and hits the five-knuckle shuffle. Big Show is up quick and has Cena for a chokeslam attempt but Cena escapes. Cena gets Big Show down and is looking to lock in the STFU submission hold. Back up, Big Show catches Cena out of nowhere with a big clothesline. Big Show drags Cena into a corner. Big Show comes off the ropes with a Vader-bomb. He pins Cena but only gets two. Big Show and the announcers act shocked that Cena kicked out. "That's one of the most amazing things I've ever seen!! How'd he do that?!" - Jerry Lawler. Big Show stomping away at the injured body of Cena. Big Show tries a second Vader-bomb but Cena moves. Cena hops onto Big Show and again tries the STFU, but Big Show is too big for him to apply it. Cena climbs to the top rope and drops a leg drop on a standing-hunched over Big Show. Cena a third time tries the STFU but Big Show again avoids it. Big Show picks Cena up for a power bomb but keeps his momentum going and falls back, slamming Cena down on his face from the power-bomb position. Big Show is calling for the knockout blow as Cena slowly staggers back to his feet. Big Show swings, Cena ducks and hoists him up for the FU. He nails it and gets the pin for the victory.

-Edge (c) vs. Jeff Hardy
A video package airs showing the history of the Hardy-Edge feud. Edge's music hits and the World champion makes his way to the ring, continuing tonight's theme of champions entering the ring first. Long pause and Jeff Hardy's music hits as the crowd pops big. Bell sounds to start the match and Edge gets Hardy down early. Hardy quickly reverses and has Edge in an armbar. Edge reverses and has Hardy in the armbar. Edge starts stomping away at Hardy. Back up, Hardy clotheslines Edge and Edge scoots out to the floor. Hardy flips over the top rope, onto to Edge on the floor. Back in the ring, Hardy tries to pin Edge but only gets two. Edge starts punching Hardy and blatantly throws him over the top rope, onto the floor. Edge slams Hardy down as Jim Ross talks about Hardy's back injury. Edge continues to work on Hardy's back. Pin attempt from Edge only gets two. Edge working some more on Hardy's back. The crowd tries getting behind Hardy as Hardy almost makes a comeback before Edge cuts him off with a slam. Edge tries a clothesline but Hardy hits a cross-body instead. Hardy with a neckbreaker on Edge. Hardy with an inverted suplex as he goes to the top. Hardy misses coming off the top as Edge moved out of the way. Edge quickly tries to pin him, but Hardy kicks out. Hardy with a clothesline out of nowhere. Arm-drag by Hardy followed by a spinebuster. Standing dropkick from Hardy followed by a failed pin attempt. Hardy climbs to the top rope and comes off with a big flying cross-body that gets him a count of two. Hardy whips Edge to the ropes and tries a dropkick, but Edge held onto the ropes to avoid it. Hardy with a quick roll-up out of nowhere but only gets a two count. Edge tries the impaler but Hardy avoids it and slaps on a sharpshooter. He locks it in tight and Edge screams in pain. He slowly crawls to the ropes to break the hold. Hardy with a twist-of-fate out of nowhere but only gets two. Out on the floor, Hardy clears off an announce table and takes the padding off part of the barricade. He tries running across the top of the barricade but Edge got up and dove into him as he was coming in for a spear. Edge rolls back into the ring as the ref starts his count on Hardy. Hardy makes it back to the ring by nine as the crowd pops and Edge drops to his knees in disappointment. Replays of the spear off the table spot are shown. Edge is stomping away at Hardy in frustration. "Let's go Hardy" chant from the crowd and Hardy hits Edge with a twist-of-fate and a legdrop off the second rope. He pins Edge but Edge gets his foot on the ropes at two to break the count. Hardy with a whisper in the wind off the top out of nowhere. Another twist-of-fate from Hardy but he still only gets two out of a pin attempt. Hardy throws Edge to the floor and follows him out. He positions the ring steps for a spot and hits a flying clothesline with his leg that takes both men over the barricade and into the front row. Out of nowhere, Matt Hardy pops out of the front row and attacks Jeff with the cast. Edge rolls Jeff into the ring and pins him but he kicks out at two. Replays are shown of Matt Hardy hitting Jeff with the cast. Edge is waiting for Jeff to get up so he can spear him. Edge charges at him for the spear but Hardy drop toe-holds him face-first into the turnbuckle. Hardy slowly climbs to the top rope. He slips and Edge climbs up after him. Both men on the top and Edge hits an Edgecution off the top rope. Edge pins Hardy and gets the 1-2-3 to win the match and retain his title.
