You sure can. Be very open when listening in reverse, especially with music, because most of it is gibberish, if its real reverse speech, you may find 1 to two phrases per song, depending on the artist, maybe more, if it's backwards masking it will be way more noticeable. Also you can slow down the reverse or lower the pitch to greater listen.
i dont really like how they have hella shit being said in the forward part of the clip then in the reverse it jus plays a small couple words they may have found and could also have edited and tweaked to sound like somethin....how am i supposed to really know thas the from the same exact speech???? only way ill beleive it is when i take one these mp3's and reverse it myself.....im a try it when i got some time......
one of the things on the website it was showin how 2 people can read the same pre-written text and have different reversals... because of the way they emphasize on different syllables and another factor is emotion apparently. So i guess its more so the way you say it, not what ur saying and this makes since because of pauses between words emphasis on syllables etc.
Trust me this is 100% real, it's been real since the 1960's. This is a REAL process of how the mind works naturally on its own. Plus you can prove it like you said, reverse the real phrases on Reverse Speech, backwards masking is just a vocal placed over a reversed vocal, and then put forward and mixed in. I did not put those messages in on my music, nor did anyone else on the live vocal recordings on that website. I recorded them all at different dates and I just recently reversed them and found those phrases.

How is it so hard to believe? Remember we're dealing with SOUND, not TEXT DATA. I'm guessing the messages are formed off the pronounciation, timing, emotion, and parts of the words in forward speech. You cannot tweak Reverse Speech, it is what it is. I bet if you take a microphone, and write a poetry or a verse or your THOUGHTS, atleast 3 times, and recorded them, and then analysed them, you will find atleast one message.
