Mac Dre was killed in Kansas City early this morning. Dre was not only a huge influence on my rap career, but also a good friend. I am in total shock right now. I will write a longer story on me & Dre's relationship later. For now, here is a free download of the last song I recorded with him. Rest In Paradise Playa....

R.I.P. Mac Dre

I'm in total shock, Jay Tee...I'd been unable to get onto the Siccness all day on my computer, and I thought it was down again. So, I go to Thizzworld.net to look at the message board, and there's several threads talking about Mac Dre's passing away--I couldn't believe it at first, but one of them showed the reprint from the Kansas City newspaper that first reported the story. AllHipHop.com confirmed it as well, and I finally just got on the Siccness now and have read the posts on BART...this is some fucked-up shit, for real. I just can't imagine someone like Mac Dre being gone...I never met MD personally, but could relate to his funny-but-serious demeanor on records and in interviews. This is a sad day for everyone (fans, rappers, etc.) associated w/ the Bay (and Rap in general, period).

I will definitely say some more stuff about this on the BART board later, but right now, let's all pour out some liquor for MD in his memory. A true pioneer and one of Rap's great free spirits has gone. I will most definitely say a prayer for MD and his family.

R.I.P., Mac Dre. One Love.

Jay Tee, I know you and Mac Dre were hella good friends and I'm sorry about your lose, truely I am. I remember when you introduced me to him at 80 West, that was a day I won't forget, I want to say thank you for that. Just remember though homie, keep your head up and stay strong. Naw, he was with some KC fools out there and they had funk with some other KC fools. So basically Dre was caught up in between the two groups. This is what I've heard so far.

I'm really gonna miss the Mac Dre, Beesh, & Jay Tee trackz. No Chingo Bling and Mac Dre trackz..... :( . Jay Tee stay strong and keep reppin the town like it should be done. Thingz happen for a reason.......we just have to make the best of thingz and keep on rollin. Everybody stay up cause I know there are a lot of people down about this like myself...
