I beg to differ Sheabadiah. Service Merchandise was all the way 80s. Actually, I think they went way back before that. But I used to buy all my 80s toys there and shit... lookin in the Service Merchandise catalog and circling all the shit I wished for. I remember when you use to buy something there, youd have to go up front and wait for the workers to pull it off a conveyer belt that came from the back warehouse. I use to think them fools made all the stuff in the back when you bought it, and sent it on the belt, lol.

But I do remember Best and Gemco. Dont forget Price Club. Thats like the Costco of yesteryear.

Service Merchandise....shit i couldnt afford to go there....but i remember slangin my Genesis with like 10 games and my NES with like 20 games and takin the money and runnin to Svc Merchandise to cop me a brand new SNES (super nintendo) and SFII.....didnt get SFII for a long time after that ($50 is a lot when your like 10-12)...but Mario World kept me happy (and pissed off) for a long time....

i can remember stealin dads 2live crew tapes and playin em for my friends and be like "wow he said pussy"

I used to cop the old 2Sheezy, Blowfly & 2Live shit!! ( How many Rhymes Does it Take to get from here to New York?...ONE ONE ONE!!) I had some cousins from Mexico livin' with me @ the time, and they learned english from those tapes plus Sanford & Son and All in the Family. Picture 3 grown men singing Freaky Tales with HEAVY spanish accents.

LOL, Blowfly. My uncle had a bunch of Blowfly records. I was never allowed to even look at the covers. I remember trying to sneak a peek at some titties on one of them.
