Ok, peep this. Does anybody else remember when KMEL, or KSOL for that matter, would play songs in the late night and they'd sound faster than normal? That always irked me and I was just wondering if anybody else ever noticed. Not a whole lot faster, but just fast enough to where you could notice a difference in the song. It was only on songs played past midnight for the most part.

Me n Franzen(Fred) grew up since we was like 6 n 7 yrs old...we started dj'n at bout 11 or 12. I taught that cat rhythm and how to mix. My family was broke so his pop bought 2 techniques and a mixer for him...that's how it all began...from the lakeview house parties to all the other turf parties in frisco to the Jam zone and that's when that cat got put on...Even Luck use to let Fred announce shit over the mic at the jam zone....this was before Quik got smashed on and it was shut down...from then he got on at KMEL and I started fuckin wit Domino from the Hiero's.....But Franzen is indeed in Las Vegas doing his thang at the clubs n shit. That's Fam.........does anyone remember battle of the rappers shit..I mean i got some of that shit on then old black walgreens tapes n shit. I remember I use to fuck around and I called in as DJ knowledge from Compton....the shit was funny as shit man....Even Luck was like ok man..since you're new you go first...I was fuckin comic so I started it off by beatboxin n then freestyle'd some ole funny shit and was like PEACE! cats was calling up rollin..I was big at school for that one....then other dude went..he was still weak..but he won...a couple weeks later DJ Knowledge from compton was back on again...It was fun as shit back then...those were the days...can't nothing have been better times then back then..from parties..to music..to the people...everything..now shit is fuckin retarded....all the good times are done n over wit...to much evil has taken over the world...and it's hell on earth....and KMEL is not the same at all.

I don't remember Alex Bennet being on KMEL, but I do remember when he used to have a live studio audience at Live 105. I would get up at 4:30 am, drive into the city, and be in line hella early to see a free comedy show in the 105 studios.

KMEL and KSOL used to be the SHIT back in the days, though. The Pharcyde was on the Wake Up show one time, and they had a contest to call in with your best "Yo Mamma" jokes, and I won when I called in and said 'your momma's so fat, she sat on a rainbow and made skittles"!!!
