Martin Luther (1483-1546), the German theologian and religious reformer, initiated the Protestant Reformation and forever split Christianity from Catholicism. He is sometimes referred to as the "Father of Protestantism" and the "Patron Saint" to Christian's beliefs and morals.

Martin Luther's book, written in 1543, On the Jews and their lies fanned the flames of Jewish hatred when he proposed to set fire to their synagogues and schools, to take away their homes, forbade them to pray or teach, or even to utter "God's" name.
Martin Luther even states, "We are at fault in not slaying them" to avenge the death of the Jesus character.
Martin Luther wanted to "be rid of them" (the Jews) and requested that the government and ministers deal with the problem. He requested pastors and preachers to follow his example of issuing warnings against the Jews.
So for 400 years these Christian church pastors and preachers did indeed follow his example and preached hatred for Jews from the pulpits of their churches.
Adolf Hitler, like most German and Austrian people, was raised in this anti-Semetic Christianity culture and he was taught that Martin Luther was one of Germany's greatest heroes.
So great was Martin Luther's influence, that Hitler's book Mein Kampf mirrors his teachings ... in the book Hitler lists Martin Luther as one of Germany's greatest reformers. And just like Martin Luther, Hitler writes and speaks against the Jews. In fact, Hitler's plan to create a German Reich Church had its foundation in what he called the "Spirit of Dr. Martin Luther."
