I dont know.

Its hard for me to agree with alot of critics.

Their reviews are mired in movie terminology, inside lingo, references to other movies - its like they live in a little 'critic' world and what they say doesnt mean fuck.

I use metacritic.com alot and it is sometimes reliable. However, the gathered mass of critics can be just as unreliable as single ones.

Anyone know any reviewers they agree with often? Or a site that seems have its shit right?

None. Most reviewers fall inbetween two people:

The Coldbloodeds

and the 707Representa critic.

One will lash out on all movies unless the plot revolves around the almost nihilistic meaning of live as it is portrayed by some no name Peruvian act-thor all the while being directed by the greatest directors of alternative theatre.

The other only sees movies about the "brothas in the hood" that have no shot at ever getting out unless they win the big dancing competition.

Either way you lose. Go watch Indiana Jones 4 and shut up.

On the way to rent both those movies, and a few more from your thread CB.

I was thinking more in the theatres. Unfortunately, though, the only good movie out right now is No Country, which I've already seen.

Alas, poor Yurik.

There Will Be Blood was waaaaaaaaay better. The Orphanage was good too if you can still find somehwere showing it. Now isn't the best time of year for movies. Your best chance is for Oscar leftovers. Otherwise you have to wait till late march for the action films and no-hope of oscar cuz it's too cool type movies.

Pick up "Y: The Last Man" in trade paper back. Volumes 1-9 are available. It's dope.

ehh, anyone (CB), see The Last Hangman? Sounds interesting but I want to see if it's worth the download.

Albert Pierrepont delivered groceries - and was a hangman. Following his father's footsteps he quickly became known for his efficiency and compassion, rising to become 'the best in the land'. From the early 1933 until the end of his career in 1955 he executed some 608 people including 47 of the Nuremburg Nazis for which he earned the gratitude of a nation. But by the time he hanged Ruth Ellis, the last women to be executed in Britain, public sentiments had changed....and so had Pierrepont.
