use the command unformat


that should do it... unless you formatted your comp using the command format c:\ /q

[ / quick ]


then you can't restore your harddisk

how do i make a boot disk....

if you got windows 98 running it's easy just go to the Config screen and go to Software and you'll see a tab 'make a bootdisk' or something [ haven't run win98 in a while ]


if you don't got win98 on your comp you can make it on a computer wich got win98 or you should look for the files to put on a disk:


command.com
autoexec.bat
fdisk.exe
sys.com
format.com
msdos.sys
config.sys


these files no need the most.. there are more but you can do fine without them.

hehe no I just learned it fast like a matha...

3 years ago I didn't even know what the 3 icons on the top of each window [ minimize, maximize and the mid one... don't know the name in english tho ]

don't he got to type (Format C in dos with the format.com in the same directory to format the hard drive?
