What do ya'll think?

Im a Wings fan, so obviously I'm pulling for them. But from an objective position, Sydney Crosby alone is not enough to pull Pittsburgh past Detroit. And all it takes is a few good hits to throw that man off his game.

My two favorite NHL teams. Should be interesting series.

Some columnists here in the D are talking about dual championships with Red Wings and Pistons* both taking the finals this year. Which I don't think is quite appropriate to talk about now.

Well....first off...Pens just got their fucking ASSES handed to them. Hopefully we start playing better or we got no chance.

But our team is a LOT more than Crosby. Malkin and Staal are both awesome centers, Hossa is starting to get used to playing with us, Fleury (except yesterday) is unstoppable, and Gonchar is a sick defenseman.

I got a lot of faith in the Pens...but 4-0 scared the fuck out of me. Goddamn is Detroit good...

And to all the Crosby haters...have you seen his playoff beard? Poor kid...

lol @ his playoff beard... Crosby is talented though, no doubt. I agree with you about Malkin and Gonchar, they are solid. Anyway I gotta say, after game 1, it doesnt look good for the Penguins...

I feel that the Wings will take it in 5. They are just so much deeper and more experienced. Marc Andre Fleury will be the only reason the Penguins don't get swept.

I just got offered two nice ass tickets for tomorrow's game for $600. I just said fuck paying that much money to watch us lose the Stanley Cup and not score a fucking goal.

We have been undefeated at home since March though. And the Giants beat the Patriots. So who knows....

Yes I totally agree that the Pens have some really talented players, ones that will put them deep in the playoffs every year. In order for them to compete this year though they have to be more physical.

I wonder if the Penguins are even gonna score in this series?
Yes

Dude you're a dumb ass if you don't take those tickets. Two things will happen if you do: 1 You can sell them to someone else and probably get a lot more then you paid for them. Or 2 you don't/can't sell them and you get to go to a fucking Stanley Cup game and have a fuckin sweet time. Just for what if's sake, what if the Pens completely turn things around and win the series and it all started with that game. You're going to feel like a moron afterward knowing you passed up on tickets.

I like the Pens and I want to see them do well but I've said this since last year that Sydney Crosby is too young to be a captain and carry a team to a Stanley Cup championship. How is a dude going to lead a team when he can't even go to the pub after a game and have a beer with his team. Dude is only in his third season and just because you're a hell of a player does not mean that you are a captain. If you've played hockey before then you know the importance of a captain and where I'm coming from.

Stealth if those tickets are still available you should definitely buy them.

1Deep I agree I always thought Crosby's too young to be the captain. Gary Roberts should wear the "C" that dude is an OG. Either him or Petr Sykora, he's already won like 3 cups I think

Nah...I paid $600 for Steelers playoff tickets at the Bengals game in Cincy where Palmer got his knee blown out. I'm not paying another $600 to see a Stanley Cup game. I've seen about 10 Pens games this year...I've had Jaromir Jagr over at my house before...I shot hoops with the dude...I don't need to pay $600 dollars to support a team that just got shut out twice in the Stanley Cup. I spent $550 on a flat screen and got a sack instead. Money well spent.

And to whoever said I was a "dumb ass" for not buying the tickets, your mother is a cumguzzling anal whore :)
