So right now all i have for my T2i is the kit lens (weak, i know), 50mm 1.8, and a 8mm fisheye. im looking to completely replace the kit lens and get a wide angle lens.

i dont want cheap lenses that are okay, i want to get a couple of really high quality lenses. ive been looking into the L series, but thats only because i know no better haha. if you guys have any suggestions, let me know

price range is pretty much anything under $1k

is anyone selling any lenses?

Recently bought a T2i and a few lenses, but don't have the chops to make a recommendation based on what I have.

I did a lot of research before I bought the stuff I got.

There is an abundance of information on youtube alone. I found a lot of my lenses by watching webisodes and shit like that related to HDSLR filmmaking...and finding high quality videos that had equipment and software listed either in the description or in the little pop up bubbles.

I was just browsing for tripod reviews this morning and ran across a series called HDSLR 101 and they had an episode about lenses...

The whole series was pretty informative as far as reviews and covering different price ranges. It is all centered around Canon pretty much...not sponsorshipwise, but just because that's what they primarily use. Hope that helps.

Feel free to drop any knowledge you have on the learning process, etc. I would definitely appreciate it.

thanks for the input

i plan on renting these lenses:
Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 AT-X 116 Pro DX for Canon
Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 XR DiII for Canon
Sigma 50-150mm f/2.8 II EX DC HSM for Canon

i watched a few youtube videos and checked some reviews and these seem like some of the most recommended lenses that arent part of the canon L series. so im gonna spend about $120ish to rent the 3 of them and decide which ones i feel are worth the price

35mm look for under 3k? Wouldnt it be much cheaper to shoot on film lol?
only major productions use film. it's super expensive. you got the:
film camera
the actual film
development/transfer process

and on top of that you have to take more time planning, because if you waste 1 take on film that would cost you over $100
