1.Midwest Mobstaz Vol.3--tight Chi/Gary compilation
2.Psychodrama--Time vs Life...The Neverending Story-classic
3.Crucial Conflict--ILLEGAL(the street mixtape)--classic
4.MAG of MIDWIKID(Hammond or Michigan City,IN)-classic
5.Outside(Gary)--Area 57--classic
6.3rd Degree(Gary)--Blood Money--classic--hard as fuck
7.Lil'B of 3rd Degree(Gary)--10 Toes Down--classic--real hard
8.1st Batallion(Gary)--Gutta,Gutta?--damn near classic
9.David Roughin of 1st Batallion(Gary)--tight
10.Ric Jilla(Hammond,IN)--mixtape vol.3-Supernatural--tight
11.A-G-2-A-KE(Milwaukee)--Ball $treet--classic-
12.Derrick Note of the Country Boy Clique(Milwaukee)--Picture This--real tight, surprised since he so country but he spit real well and rep Milwaukee to the fullest.
13.Baby Drew of the Country Boy Clique(Milwaukee)--The Ghetto Hero--decent,decent-ain't the best MC but make good songs all produced by Big Hank plus he got Coo Coo Cal on it.
14.Top Authority(Flint)--The New Year 97'--classic-The first 2 albums were classics too but this one was better than the 2nd one.
15.Streetlords aka Cheddaboyz(Detroit)--Platinum Masterpiece--real tight--Detroit street shit with big features on it.
16.S 2 the B(Kansas City,Mo)--all 3 of his solo albums are real tight plus he produces all of his songs.
17.Finesse(Kansas City,Mo)--Street Tactics--real tight-raps fast but sounds like nobody else plus S 2 the B produced it.
18.Slop Da Gambla(Kansas City,Mo)--Life's A Gamble--real tight--sounds like a young Rich the Factor but in his own way.I really liked this cause it had that new KC feel I was lookin for.
19.Hustlamade Bugz(Kansas City,Mo)--108% Persistence--real tight-The Fam-Lee Tree make good songs.
20.Hobotone(Kansas City,Ks)--Hobolavirus--damn near classic--surprised me with that grimy MW KC street shit.Every song was just gangsta and knockin.Beats and lyrics.
21.Mr.Horbella(Kansas City,Ks)--Chopn' Down Game--real tight--bumpin like a muthafucka with some more of that KC street shit from the Kansas side.Dark and Grimy lyrics and beats.
22.Common(Chicago)--"One Day It'll All Make Sense" and "Like Water For Chocalate" are classics ,but his latest one "Electris Circus" ain't on nothing.Niggas don't like Common cause he don't be on that gangsta shit 24-7.He's still a raw MC who make good songs and reps the Chi to the fullest on a Hip-Hop level.
23.Royce da 5"9(Detroit)--"Build and Destroy" and his new one "Death is Certain" are damn near classics.Just like Common, niggas don't fuck with Royce cause he's Hip-Hop but Royce gets off lyrically just like a black Eminem to me.He be snappin out plus he keep some tight MW Hip-Hop beats from some up-and-coming producers.

I always hear niggas say KC niggas sound like the Bay.In my opinion yall really don't.Not the whole KC sound as a whole.Yall in the middle of the US,so yall might tend feel styles from every area. Now Rich the Factor,S 2 the B,and Fat Tone fuck with Bay area artists and producers on their albums but they still sound MW KC country to me.And Court Dog does sound like a member of Bone TIH.But everybody else (and yall do have alot of rappers)sounds KC to me.

You are the first person I've heard to like that album. I don't know why most folks don't be feelin that album. The shit is hard. But I do disagree with that album being better than "Rated G". Rated G is classic.

if youre talking about the psychodrama i dont see how you think the beats were commercial. they werent at all they were just flat out garbage. along with the raps. their style is so dated its pathetic for them to come out in 2004 sounding like they did in 98(but worse). just because beats are garbage doesnt make them commercial and vice versa.

Here's my Slept-on list

1. Gee Pierce - Well Connected: Flint/Saginaw compilation produced fully by Michigan's hottest producer. Features the best rappers in Mid-Michigan.

2. Imperial Blew Back Records - Operation 263: Another tight Flint compilation. Has alot of good unkown producers that shows that Steve Pitts, Gee Pierce and Ghetto Sympony aint the only producers in Mid-Michigan that got platinum plus production.

3. Quarta Ounce - Lime Green: I Don't know why these boys are slept on so kuch when people name tight Chi groups. They remind me a lot of Chilldrin of the Ghetto. This album had some cold beats from Soundmaster T and D-Fly.

4. Tech N9ne Introduces Da Hooligans: These boys are rpobably my fav group from Kansas City. One of em is Tech N9ne's cousin. This album go real hard.

5. The Dayton Family - Welcome To The Dopehouse: Great album that got slept on by a lot of people. I think this ties with FBI as TDF's best album.

6. DJ Insain - The Unheard Product EP: 6 song Flint Compilation featuring Swift-D of 211, T-Double of Flint Fharmacy, Moochie Mack, Young Dirty and Jon E Fontane of the Coalition. Tung Flipin Flows and good production from an unknown Flint producer, DJ Insain.

7. Jake The Flake - My Jakeafella Vol. 1: This album is out cold, period

8. Flint Fharmacy - Goodie: This shit go too hard. Tight tung flipin rhymes and really great production from Gee Pierce. The best album to come outta 98.

9. D.A. Smart - Walk With Me E.P.: Dude doesn't get a enough recognition. I think he's the second best solo rapper from the Chi. Never heard a D.A. Smart verse I didn't like. Too bad he's locked up and we may never hear a full album from him.

10. N.O.T.P. - Shootin Da Breeze: These Saginaw boys is cold. This album came out in 94 and was Gee Pierce's first album he ever produced. This is one of the best early Midwest albums.

11. B-Def - Prince Of The City: This is my favorite album outta Detroit. Dude doens't have a Detroit style and is kinda a perfect mix of Flint/Saginaw and Chi Rap.
