Rebels were basically trendy party people (usually Chicano) who modeled themselves after Jim Morrison, James Dean, and Morrissey. They all swore they were down for their shit forever... but now as you can see, no one in Los Angeles or surrounding areas will admit to ever having been a rebel. I remember when all of a sudden they all became "HIP HOP". Typical! Apparently some of these other areas picked up on it (like 10 years later) and the scene thrives! I thought this shit was comedy when it was down here but to think that it is actually still respected in other areas of the world stifles me. I think the pics say it all.
