uhhh ok. People don't want to hear about these raps of poverty anymore. They just want to have fun. point blank.
its not "raps of poverty", it's REALITY rap, or rap that MAJORITY of street dudes can relate to. strugglin, hustlin, bangin, wutever, not everybody can afford a bentley, or $100,000 chains homie. it's good to have fun, but its good to mix in tha negatives with it to so we can actually relate to tha music. fold.

I agree, dude has been dead for 10 years, get off his nuts already. People act like he was Jesus when in reality if he was still alive the man would probably be rapping about driving bentleys and rocking a 200K platinum chain just like the rest of em

I swear threads like this are secretly started by vets on this site to get people clowning and keep traffic up

Yup i agree. Im tired of seeing poeple flossin in videos with rediculous houses, cars and chains. Theres so much more to life than that, and it shows how one dimensional some of these cats really are. Im not a rapper, but I could put together a song bragging about diamonds and maybachs in a few minutes. It takes true talent to write a song that has some meaning that people can relate to though. Hip hop ahas always been about originality and not biting the next mans style. Now all these big white corporations are involved, that aspect is almost dead and everybody is folllowing a formula...

I agree that people are definately on his nuts wayyy too much, BUT (while I have no fuckin way of ever proving this) I think if he were still alive today there's a pretty good chance he could have evolved. I agree his death made him a superstar, but i mean the dude had poetry and hundreds of songs and spoke on enough social issues that I think I'd give him the benefit of the doubt.

Not to mention the evolution of mainstream rap stopped cold in its tracks after his death. Maybe if he would have stayed alive rap wouldn't have gone in this direction anyways?

lets be realistic here. It appears to have become a lost cause, therefore nothing else can be done....

when you can't beat them you join them, just like whitey did when rap looked like it would never die...now that whitey dominates the game, what else is left for a nigga to do than to join whitey and ridicule himself for the love of uncle sam's payper? overpopulation is a motherfucker too.
