How do you feel about re-used verses, like that you might of heard as a featuring or on a mixtape and then later on, hear it used again on the artists album...Im not for it, but I got a couple of verses that Ive spat for some homies that I look back at, that I could take, and make a proper track including the verse/verses that Ive already used. Feels lazy, but some of it I know I could do more with it than what theyre gonna do with it (im not shittin on my boyz, its just, they dont have all they shit in order. Some just want something to do, and others live and breath this shit 24/7...they know how i feel) so I dont think they would be pissed, but to the consumer, that shits wack, yet im still contemplating it...I wanna hear all opinions, from other artists and listeners, suggestions, personal experience, shit I dont give a fuck lets hear it people.

i think itz hella wack. but only if both of the songs are big enough for peepz to notice. like that R. Kelly song ft. The Game lost all mi respect when Game used the verse frm his hit song "fresh like UHH, 808 DRUM" that shit...but if ya bois shit aint doin nothin then use it. idk ive had lots of my hottest lyrics on other peoples CD's im featured on an i wish i could have the verse i wrote for my cd instead but i spit it on their shit...sometimes u jus gotta deal wit it

...sometimes it's pure laziness, and sometimes you come across a beat later in life where that verse just fits perfect...

if i can make money off a verse that i already recorded and some idiot is willing to buy it knowing it has been used before i would do it...call it laziness,i would call it free money

if its some shit on a mixtape, a "freestyle", or something like that, it wouldn't be as bad....because as a consumer you're seeing the album it goes on is proffessional, and mixtapes aren't. if its someone else's song and you throw that verse on another song, that shit is wack. straight up, there's no effort involved and it reflects on how you are perceived. using similar lines is something thats done with alot of artists, sometimes it helps & establishes catch phrases, sometimes it seems like you're hearing the same shit over & over....also, look at how many units that album that had the original verse pushed, if its some low ass number, most likely noone will have heard it....but as you get bigger, old shit has a way of resurfacing to bite you in the ass

I guess Twiztid was about to beat up Bushwik Bill (formerly of Geto Boyz) for recycling a verse on their Green Book album.

Turns out, kicking the shit out of a one-eyed midget isn't as appealing as it sounds... even if you do have a valid reason.
