I was reading last week in another fourm on the siccness ( I think maybe the Open Forum) and there was a thread that asked something along the lines of
" What forum on the siccness do you never visit" One poster said the Strange Forum because "everyones on Tech's nuts" In another thread, here at the Strange forum a poster posted a single sentence something along the lines of "get off Tech's nuts"---that should be easy to find, I think it was posted yesterday.
The first thing that popped in my head when reading the thread in the "Open Forum" was the comment possibly stemmed from jealousy. There are multiple artists in the siccness community competing for your attention. It's not an unreasonable assumption.
Maybe it's not jealousy. There have been posters who respond rather emotionally when someone may disagree with a tech track opinion. A common response to the response has been " Why do you take it as a personal attack on you. You are not the artist" That logic is as solid as the jealousy theory.
Just as Tech is largely regarded as one of the best kept secrets in music, so is the team he works with to get the final product out. (there should be a ton of threads giving you gals/guys props) I would be somewhat surprised if Tech was a difficult person to accept constructive criticism based on the quality of work. I could imagine that would be rather irritating for people who work with him to read/listen to people more difficult than the man himself.
Me personally, I prefer the tech albums the way they are; I also enjoy the few variations I've heard put out from the source such as the Beast "lets make more" version; but I like the "that's a no no" version just as much.
Not that I've heard a lot of fans re-cuts, but I haven't "felt" them. Don't know who did the here comes tecca nina remix on youtube, but I personally think the original version was so right that it is untouchable.
Maybe someone has a difference of opinion and that's what makes the world go around. However, I have seen the difference of opinion emotions here go beyond any one artist. Notably though, is the fact that whenever I am at the siccness. the Strange Music Forum seems to have the most active users.
Some may interpret it as cool to have a rep of people on your ****, some may say it's damaging. One thing is for sure: a passionate fan-base is a good thing. Further, entertainers generally elevate as their supporters do.
So is the whole Strange Forum visitors " on Tech's nuts" simple shit talking, or is there substance behind the claims?
