Razor burn

I shave everyday and I use Mach 3 razors. I use a new razor every other day. I don't use after shave, I use alcohol free lotions. I've used all different kinds, and I still get fucking razor burn. I don't like using electric shavers 'cause they don't cut close enough. Does anyone know of any good methods to prevent or heal razor burn?

I would just say, shave like once every 3-4 days, give your skin some time to heal. That is of course if your hair grows slowly. If you got some fast growing hair... use like some clippers or something to keep the facial hair low, for a few days. Dont forget to use Edge Gel: Ultra Sensitive

Get yourself a Mach 3, so far its the best Ive used, fuck an electric razor. The best time to shave is in the morning when you wake up. Something about the hair folicles protruding off your face when you first wake up. Anyway, apply a thick layer of shaving cream to your face AFTER YOU SHOWER in the morning and let it marinate there for a good 15 minutes... then shave with the grain. When you done with that, apply another layer of cream and let it sit there for about 3 minutes, then go against the grain. Try to only glide over the same section of your face once, and dont use a lot of pressure, let the razor do the work. Rinse with a lot of hot water to get rid of any cream that may irritate your face when it dries. And dont apply anything else afterwards like aftershave, or lotions. Just let it be. Its a bit time consuming but I guarentee you wont have any bumps if you follow this method

MeloTrauma, you actually recommend not using any aftershave at all? Wouldn't that incrase razor burn?
