I been listening to this new Game album LAX and it's by far his weakest album IMO.
Sounds like he doesn't even care anymore, lyrics sound like shit with no substance. It sounds rushed and I (personaly) feel he could have came stronger and much more tighter (hence: his prior projects).
There was not even a handful of tracks I can recall tight. Beats sound rather underground and not up to par, yet I've only spun it twice, but I'm a believer that if the shit is tight...you'll know right away. You shouldn't have to spin an album 20 times and learn to love it.
Going off subject for a moment, the Ice Cube: Raw Footage has some bangers with a much more mature point of view IMO. Much like gangsta rap when it crossed over to the mainstream in the 90's, I feel rap is crossing over into a much more mature audiance today. Yes, it may be hard for some to accept rappers pushing 40 and beyond still rapping and believe that perhaps some should hang up the mic, but in the early days of Hip Hop: Many believed it to be a passing phase. Long live Hip Hop and let's keep moving forward into the music history books like those of other genre of music...don't allow age to be the reason to sweep a rapper under the rug (if he's still coming tight). At the end of it all, that's what they've always wanted to do is sweep us under the rug and be forgotten.
You'll find the newer artist are disappearing a lot quicker these days.
