Ras Kass is hoping that, in just a couple of more weeks, he'll be done with his litigation with Capitol Records and free to sign to another label. Ras says he already knows where he's going to land but isn't disclosing as of yet.

" 'Amistad MC, so give us free!' " he said recently in New York. "I'm almost out of there."

Ras just put out a mixtape called Revenge of the Spit and is working on a new one called Eat Ou Mourir.

"We'll have more street records. I'm gonna keep it classic Ras Kass," he said. "I make music for you to think to. Not necessarily to dumb out. Because [Eat Ou Mourir is being overseen by] Whoo Kid, [I'll have guest appearances by] my family(aftermath?) and the G-Unit family."

This is great news. Ras Kass ripping it on dre beats. Thats what i like to hear. I cant Waite. Ive told all my dudes at school that this cat was gonna blow up and that you will hear from him!... for a while i thought i was gonna be wrong but the shit is actually gonna happen. great news for ras kass.

Whoo Kid was sayin on his radio show that 50 wasn't lookin to sign anyone else to G-Unit and the only possibility of someone getting signed would be Ras Kass.

I'd rather see Razzy sign with Aftermath then G-Unit

I thought the G-Unit hype would have died by now.. I mean the last, what, 6 albums they've released have flopped. besides buck and lloyd, have they had ONE successful album?

i dont care for either label but would much rather see him go to aftermath...as overrated as dre's beats are,i would much rather hear him over that than him dropping a "g-unit featuring ras kass" album where he is overrun by 700 50 cent and young buck features

Ras Kass will never blow up....he's not that kind of MC....I just wish he wasn't always trying to go gold & platinum and would stick to making solid ass albums....he has enough of a fan base to make some decent money releasing an album every other year with mixtapes in between on an independent....he'll get shelved on aftermath or loose his fanbase with g-unit...although I'd rather see him on aftermath & maybe they could get the golden state project out.....his label was the reason it didn't come out a long time ago

Hes gotta eat bro....and if you think in the age of the internet...that rappers are eatin off just a record every other year with little to NO promotion and a few lil mixtapes...then you aint thinkin straight....

of course he's gotta eat.....but artists don't make alot of dough off albums anyways.....its mostly liscensing & shows....i'm just saying if he continued sticking with his core audience & impressing fans that way as opposed to pretty much alienating them and trying to be something he's not...
