Alot of rappers out here ain't REALLY on that hyphee kick. Anybody that doesn't constantly yell out scrappa's, purple, go dum (or dummie), poppin pills, shake ya dreds...if these words are the basis of most of your songs you are indeed HYPHEE (and that isn't always a good thing). Beware Hyphee people reporting to the dance floor or studio that shit will play out soon enough and people will move on...as they always do.

B-Legit, Totally Insane, 11-5, C-Fresh, JT the Bigga Figga, etc. It's only those in the spotlight who are really going dumb. The trend is to get Hyphy, so everybody from Cali that's on they hype, gone get stupid. But in actuality, this shit ain't new, it just has a name now... so it's took on a whole form and turned into a lifestyle. Change is good...sometimes it's a sign of evolution.

Do whut you do to my music cuzzinsuhmine... Go Dumb, throw on ya backpack, females shake ya Lee-PressOn-tracks, analyze it... anything BUT wear ya PUNK ASS church Blazer, jeans, a Fitted cap and sum white shoes to it!!!! Stopdat neeeggas... rillyrilly.

I don't label myself or put shit in a box; slapIzslap. For those small percentage of folks who are still into lyrics/spittery, peep the remix to COMMON's "The Corner" BAY-AREAly labeled "THA CORONER". Also hit the single "GET NUMB" (definition-intoxicated, 4 my grown folk)

alkohol nor hangova is not a part of the hyphy movement....this is a good thread...don't get me wrong...all the tracks that have that feel are good but we don't want the bay to be labeled as just that...we are the most diverse area in the nation so alot of artists are on some ole other shit...that is just one particular flavor that niggas is on right now...but again if the style fits the track im all glad but im not really on that tip...

^^^exactly, you make it sound like the hyphy sound has taken over when in reality 95% of rappers havent adpated to that style at all.there is only a handfull of rappers that are like that, just might seem like more cause they are the ones in the spotlight right now
