Do any rap videos contain storyboards anymore. How many videos film the artist rapping in different outfits and in different locations.Backgrounds contain same clothes different homies.Every rap video is like a documentry for that artists hood.Even if the song dont match it is still possible to create a storyboard.Rap videos now only showcase the talent of the guy filming and editing the video_Of course if a new artist makes a video you wanna see it to see who makes that song but the video content is like all the others...cars,hoodrats and filming the artist rap in different locations thruout his city.Anyone else like to see rap videos go in a better direction?

I miss storyline music videos. Everything now has a gimmick or dance you have to learn.

Clothes to sport, locations. I don't mind the booty but I feel dumber watching music videos.

Sorry,Im saying that rap videos today suck.Because they dont care about using storyboards all the videos have the same exact content no matter what style of rap it is.I can have a live performance filmed that shows the same thing in todays rap videos. So much money is spent on some of these videos but no storyboard artist.

Oh I feel you. Videos back in the day used to be sick. I don't really keep up with the new videos though. I don't really get a chance to watch mtv and bet and all those channels.

I think people just want to spend less and less on videos. On top of that every new "hit" on the radio contains some gimmick or catch phrase ("pop lock it drop it", "ay bay bay", "party like a rockstar", " rock yo hips", etc . It's either the new dance or some gay ass term like "Krispy".

Theres so many obvious aspects of the game that are not being tended to like......

Storyboards for videos
Creating a buzz before album release
Mixdown or mastering of product
promotion thru radio,flyers,online radio,sites,doing shows etc,etc,etc......

Nowadays everyone is a rapper, only the dope will survive.Knowing the business beats out having money to throw around cuz money can be spent on a garbage ass product....

^ its all true especially in the bay, what i think is funny is how they try to create a buzz for an album by pushing it back 10 times and putting out a bunch of sub par mixtapes or 3rd party albums that arent mixed properly and not mastered. To me its like Bay Area rappers are hustling their own fans and its not right
