Legendary DJ Jam Master Jay of Run-DMC was shot in the head and according
to sources, killed in a studio in Queens, New York an hour ago. Another
unidentified man was shot in the leg. Authorities had no motive at press
time. Please send your prayers to his family and friends.

That's fucked up... Every year, someone in the music biz dies, and half the time it's over some bullshit... We don't need to have beef between one another or deal with anything if it aint gone keep us alive and well, and get us to heaven.. Fuck that old Black on Black, white on whatever shit. Fuck an enemy, we all family at the end of the day, regardless of the color of our skin, We all bleed red, and that comes to show that aint no one exempt from being killed over some bullshit. I already know that speaking on shit like that aint gone reach anyone, but shit, someone out there is listening. Reaching one is better than none... Life is short yall... Gang bangin' and mediocre shit leads up to that. Even though we dont have a clue what happened yet, this is something to learn from. Advice from me: Pick your friends wisely... Life is short, keep smiling. Treat everyday like it's your last, but dont forget why you are here.. We never know when we wake up, that this is our last day on earth, and the last thing that I want to regret is knowing that someone died "Mad" at me..! It's more to life than making enemies... Even on this forum. Yall stay up!

here's what I don't get. i've watched some news reports this morning and heard something along these lines a time or two.

"another person the violent world of hip hop is dead today"

like somehow JMJ's death is related to gun bustin or gang bangin lyrics. how are you gonna equate REVEREND Run, DMC, or Jam Master Jay to violence. Even if hip hop culture has it's share of "violent" personalities the worst Run DMC has ever done for society is take away from the sale of Nikes in the 80's when they started rapping about their Adidas

I heard this too last night and since I heard it on the radio didnt pay that much attention cause the radio station(94.9) are a bunch of Jokers, but then when I saw it on the news I was like this is for reals........

The only real thing that gets me upset is this....JMJ was a very good person and for him not to get recognize the way he is supposed to is not right.... I have been listenin to the radio (94.9 and 106.1) all morning and not once have they said anything about it......

I just think he should get the credit he deserves........

in an articlr i read lasy night about JMJ, it said Barry White died from kidney failure as well....

and to everyone, yea, every year we lose a artsist in da game, but everyday sumone loses sumone he/she loves toooo....so dont be taken to surprised by death...more poeple die under worse situations and we just dont hear about it.
