i lost alot of respect for the game and all its players today after arguing with some clown in the studio forum who could or could not be somebody in the game....but it dont really matter.....im my opinion rap and hip hop is at an all time low.....i never thought id see the day when people have to hesitate to put up audios and ask questions stupid or not.....and ill admit when people come at it like they are the tightest thing since the belt loop it gets old...but when someone has a genuine interest in learning how to do things and do them RIGHT and they get put down....or when some one posts an audio for people to check out and someone tries to clown....lol to me its just ridiculous....i see it from both angles, and i still dont get it.......i guess im just venting from earlier....but music is what i do, music is who i am, music is what i love.......(cue the violins......lol) if you took the time to read this thank you....feed back is welcome....no ignorance though please.
@D-sane.....much love for all the help and advice bro.....you are one of the realest mutha fuckas i know.

Cats passed this for almost 3 hours already? Shit...then lemme speak on this!

First, a little background. Me and my studio just put together a full comp. system for under 300$. Another 200 or so, and we'll have a new SM58 & a sound card. After that, we have EVERYTHING we need to lay down all these tracks again. For only $500, we have enough equipment to create ALL the original music & have a blueprint to fuck with....then, once we've memorized everything, maybe $1000 more for studio time, and we're set!

What im saying is...using computers for rap music is a gift and a curse (erm..sorry for all the Jay-Z references!). On one hand, more people can get their message out...but on the other hand, waaaay too many cats just stay indoors like...well, fuck, i dont know...indoor cats! heheh...

In the 2k3 and beyond, whoever is visible is gonna sell...thats my own vision...all these days of "buy my cd, peep it, only $10" is out the window, unless i see your ass live on the stage! Ill buy a 10$ CD-r of a performer i just seen before ill buy a $10 cd of someone i dont know....no matter WHAT fuckin features they have...ya dig?

On a side note...your boy Tadou been makin tracks for like 9 months, and i have in upwards of 20 done, workin on a handfull more, plus more written, plus them new system parts about to arrive....2k3 is gonna be real big! Every track i ever made, i would post up right now..if the sample didnt clear, i'd re-record it..thats how i treat music.

Its sorta like 50 Cent's crazy ass goin around droppin a mixtape every week....its not that i DONT want the money, but that I KNOW money will eventually come to me! Thats what separates me from most. Some you consider tight, but they'll be gone next year. Me, im on some Socrates shit, i dont feel like im the tightest...but you gonna hear from me!

So yeah...basically...more cats need to learn to expound and babble! Instead of letting their guest features speak for themselves.

i see it like this....i could give a fuck about makin money....the only thing i need is enough money to put out the next project and some respect.....im finally up to par as far as equipment goes, so as a a beat maker and low lever producer im happy, but lyrically im dissapointed cuz i cant battle someone when they have wronged me because it dosnt mean the same thing to them as it does to me....take the northwest battles, both sides are playin hardball cuz they know what the word RESPECT means....and they know they aint gonna let no one ride one them without a lyrical retaliation......but 85% of the other people will just be like yea whatever talk to me when you move some units or you aint got enough money to be si\eein me...its like GET YOUR HEAD OUTTA YOUR ASS i just challenged your skill and your ability in the art that we both share and you gonna come about me cuz you think i aint got no money???? thats why the game is salty....people takin more credit then what they deserve, people actin shiesty, people just out right concieted cuz they made it farther then the next man.....shit is ridiculous.....

^^ Real chop!

^^ You'll rarely hear me say that phrase....I consider myself deep in this rap shit...so if you speak my name, the battle is on, ya dig?...and it wont be no "this will be on my next album" shit, its gonna be a random beat-jacking, point blank...and i give a fuck if you sold 50 or 50,000 units......

To elaborate on what i said earlier....thats what i meant about bein visible...some of these cats think they're so INCREDIBLY visible already that they dont ever need to battle again! Or they're on that "ive already proven myself" tip....but if thats the case...why is cats callin you out? and why is you duckin away?....its a lot of fake shit goin on, and i hope it disappears in the 0-3....

Anybody else could speak on this? Let it be known!

i thought about this and i have to differ.... yes alot of it is being made for money (which isnt bad until you come out with shit like missy eliot i.e. "i need a glass of wata..ratatatatatatatata etc." that is what is getting ridiculous) i think that there are some still ill mainstream mc's (nas for example.. good lyrics.. good production) and the underground hip-hop/rap scene is still very much alive.. there are many tyte albums lined up for the 2K3... BE ON THE LOOK OUT!

!! sorry that shit is long i hadent posted in awhile and was thinkin about a lot !!!

@ BANE

I thought your statements were interesting and could relate to parts of it. But please dont say the rap game is dead, Thats so not true... Its just a lot of people wreck the business and the good drivers behind the strengths of rap success. Look at our environment.. $eattle. We got stupid peoples shootin up clubs flashin over dumb shit wrecking the scene... then the rest trying to make it stuck trying to rebuild other peoples fuck ups... leaving us a struggle to open doors to present our product on a main stream without fear in companys and fellow business associates from more retards doin dumb shit. I accept the ethic behind the gangster rap scene.. I just wish our supportive street sweepers would take a note that their getting our venues shut down like I spy beacuse they couldent keep their gun in their pants, then the next club will have something wack beacuse theyd rather have some geeks show up vs a routy croud, it makes perfect buisiness sense.. Thats kinda killing rap as our area would know it however there is a lot of artists and companies trying to change that. and its becomming more appearent that were fighting almost a civil war where our customers, fellow artists, & business relations are all major factors in the cycle of regognition or our downfall with the mainstream connection. So someone might not see a lot of support and think rap is dead beacuse our walls are closing in but i feal a new day arising changing this... i hope...

Im kinda like that at times gettin wrapped up in $KRILL situations that someone is waiting for a reply and ive been through it a lot already and am not tryin to see the cycle repeat agian.. I just basically dont have shit to proove to anyboady anymore but myself.. thats the only one that pays my bills and the only one that can bring me happiness anything else can sway me from my path or destiny so ive had to constantly re define my ethic and change my ways but regardless stressin over some small internet battle is a waste of thought. Save your brain cells for a battle with meaning in your heart going agianst what you believe in and you standing up for your right.

*** sorry that shit was long, i havent posted in awhile and this kinda had me on a lot of thoughts ***

BAMMER: You are quite the scrupulous individual, now aren't you? :beard:

I'd be interested to hear your own ideas about this topic, from a non-clown perspective?
