Pinata was ruined by the fact that half the tracks were already released and then majority of the unreleased tracks weren't as good.

The title track with 30 shitty features was the worst. Shit made me go right back to esgn.

The only one I have of those is that new Souls of Mischief. Really liked it, although not as much as their previous stuff but I definitely need to listen to it some more to get a better feel of it.

My taste in music differs from most, but my favorite so far would be either Equipto's "Out of Respect" (that track "Seven MC's is my shit) or possibly Equipto & Opio's "Red XX". Another album that may deserve consideration was great was that Shady Nate & A-Plus Tha Kid "Lean Team LP". I had never heard of A-Plus tha Kid, but him and Shady formed a dope collab over some choice production.

Joe Blow's "True Story" & "M.O.B. 2" were both solid af imo. Now that I really think about it, there's a bunch:

The Jacka & Freeway - Highway Robbery
J-Diggs - Soul of A Gangsta
A-Wax - Pullin Strings

For me, it's impossible to choose my favorite - it simply depends on the mood I'm in.

My personal favs from this year so far, but I need to cop that new Killa Tay and Mac Reese, from the sounds of the snippets its FIIIRE. The Madlib and Freddie Gibbs was cool to, mainly for the production.

I know there is a lot of animosity towards the whole DJ Mustard incident that happened this year, but from a open minded / non biased consumer's stand point, "YG: My Krazy Life" was the best album of rap genre that I heard this year. It's in my iPod and my son always request songs off it to this day.
