There's never been two more dominating pitchers on the same team in baseball history. It's almost like automatic victories when either pitches.I'm thinkin Arizona's winnin it again if those two stay healthy.I know we ain't got many baseball fans on here, but these two are unhittable.

Hell yea, bro. They are easily the two best pitchers in the NL right now..arguably the best two in the league. Their stats are just staggering. they lead the league in damn near every catagory.

together this year they're like 40-8.

just ridiculous.

I agree...The Unit and Shilling are Lethal...And Pitching wins World Series (IMO)...I think it will go down to the The Yankees and Zona again playin in the World Series...

It should be another Classic...

I wish the Giants could get at least 1 dominate pitcher...There stuck with inconsistent pitchers...But thats nothin new...LoL

Schmidts been dominating pretty much all year. Not close to Johnson and Schilling but hes been pretty damn good. The thing that hurts the Giants is there offense never gets 2 out hits.

I can see this turning to a Bay area baseball post

A's have the best staff overall, but your #4 starter means nothing in the post season anymore. You can have a decent #3 and get by.Zito and Hudsen are great young pitchers, but they have to have all there pitches working to be successful.Guys like R.J. and Schilling have such great fastballs, that there gonna give you a chance to win nightly, with or without the other stuff working.Fastballs never slump.

actually, the D-Backs other starters aren't too shabby either. Their numbers may not speak for themselves, but if you do a little research you'll see that Helling has been amazing on the mound minus 2 or 3 bad outtings when he got roughed up big time. And the times he got lit up were when he got injured. I'd say in 75% of his games this year, he's only allowed 2 or less earned runs.

And Batista is the most versatile pitcher in the league. Put him anywhere, and he'll wear the batters out. Hes also really good in high pressure situations. Remember when he pitches game 4 in the world series. Went 7 2/3 innings gave up NO runs and scattered I think 3, maybe 4 hits. And you better believe if the Diamondbacks get to the WS that Schilling and Johnson AND Batista will be in the bullpen if they aren't starting and the games on the line.

against either anahiem or the yanks
