Since someone replied to my Smackola & G-Idez cd thread I'm puttin all you Sacramento rap fans to the test with this one:

Their group was called Kontrast.. Was a EP release, self titled, prolly came out around '96. I've got their single they dropped in '98, which i was lucky to find.

anyone got it?

sup sippy was the kontrast - self titled a tape only release or was released on cd as well and how many tracks? and also whats the name of the single that dropped in 98 and how many tracks on it?

Raja began rapping with another northern California rapper named Mr. Dizz, forming the rap duo Kontrast. They self-released a 4 song demo including: Cruize Control, Certified, One For the Trouble and Cozy Condition. Their partnership produced good music and well received live shows. Independently, Kontrast released a vinyl-only single, which charted in Los Angeles, Chicago and Seattle. Despite this success, due to Kontrast signing a bogus contract with a local record company and Mr. Dizz’s run-ins with the law, Kontrast eventually dissolved
